We pray for things near to our heart. We pray and pray and pray. Years go by. There is no answer. Does God listen? I'm feeling hurt, is that OK? Do I keep praying?

Aimee Byrd, formerly a solid and credible writer with a large influence, has apostatized. She left her long-time denomination (OPC) and found solace in a United Methodist church led by a female pastor who preached with a newborn strapped to her side and her toddler running around the sanctuary. In this article and podcast, I chronicle Byrd's departure from the faith. It took ten years for her to go from fervently affirming complementarianism within a conservative denomination, to avowing survivor style victories of alleged misogyny lodged against her and moving to a church led by a woman.

I end with a warning that apostasy is real, can happen to anyone: you and/or me. Take heed of your faith, ladies!

Moore took hold of the goat and brought it into into church where it lurked in corners and tried to be inconspicuous. Now these women settle the goat onto a pew and treat the goat as a sheep. Some like to present verses about Chloe, Priscilla, Phoebe and 'the elect lady' that support their stance that these women were allegedly "leading" the early church. Are these legitimate verse citations, or were they pretzel-twisted eisegeted verses to support a feminist agenda? Let's take a close look.

I'll never get tired of studying Paul or Peter or John or Stephen or Lydia...but then someone is mentioned and I go "Another person to get to know! Who was h/she?"
