The Christian life is about learning to avoid the lures of the world. The Holy Spirit is your protection. Protection from what? Yourself. You will be your own worst enemy if you think human viewpoint. “As a person thinks within himself, so he is” (Prov 23:7). That’s why it’s so important to renovate your thinking. “Do not love the world or the things of the world” 1 John 2:15). Learn the 10 problem-solving devices. Build up a main line of resistance in your soul to avoid the lures of the world. “Be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise; redeeming the time because the days are evil. Do not be foolish but understand what the will of the Lord is” (Eph 5:15-18).
