The one thing that drives Nahjee Grant is the ability to give back to his community. He is a philanthropist, motivational speaker, and celebrated storyteller who has shared his amazing life story through books he’s authored. Other initiatives included Aces Global Enterprises LLC, DayDream Kreative Studios, World Was Made For You, and The Cool Smart Kid. These organizations promote literacy to children of color in underserved communities by giving them access to books.

His journey to become an author and philanthropist is an inspiring one that is a testament to hard work, faith, and perseverance. Nahjee discovered his passion for writing in 2007 during a short story writing course at his high school – the same high school where he repeated 9th grade! He has written 16 children's books.

Charles Teh is a Liberian-American living in New Jersey with his wife, Barbara, along with their three children – Shem, Edem, and Deasi. Charles came to the US as a refugee from Liberia in 2003. About five years ago, Charles transitioned from non-profit management position as a Program Director for a national organization to venture in the real estate industry. His experience as manager and leader during those times broadens his insight and understanding on the value of investing in the locally and the impact that such investment can have on local businesses and the communities. DeAnna Minus-Vincent has tackled the toughest issues plaguing our country today—equity, poverty, housing, health, and education, just to name a few. DeAnna has created programs that move individuals along their pathway, but believes that the most sustainable change happens when we work across sectors to re-engineer fractured systems; in so doing we can
exponentially impact the lives of many and create sustainable change. DeAnna is noted for not just programmatic and policy prowess, but for scaling organizations—she has transformed entities and dramatically increased revenue, service regions, as well as product mix.

Drawing from a broad range of lived and learned experiences, DeAnna Minus-Vincent current acts as the Managing Director of The Outcomes Architect, an advisory organization intent on working across sectors to intentionally integrate services and reimagine how health is addressed and services are delivered. In this role, DeAnna serves as a key advisory for several non-profit, philanthropic, health tech, and trade organizations as they seek to create equitable solutions that advance whole-person care.

Immediately prior to this role, DeAnna served as Executive Vice President, and the inaugural Chief Social Justice and Accountability Officer for RWJBarnabas Health. DeAnna designed a comprehensive strategic framework to improve health outcomes, promote health equity and eliminate health disparities. The development of Ending Racism Together, employed data- driven methodologies to improve organizational culture and reduce healthcare costs. Additionally, DeAnna designed Health Beyond the Hospital which integrated social factors into the clinical setting by overcoming barriers for both providers and patients using a multi-modal social determinants of health screening tool, paired with patient-centered outreach and follow-up.

Before her tenure at RWJBarnabas Health, DeAnna served for more than seven years as the Chief Engagement Officer at Benefits Data Trust (BDT), a national social change organization, where she facilitated cross-sector partnerships, diversified the organization’s revenue streams and oversaw the organization’s strategic positioning. Additionally, was appointed by Governor James E. McGreevey as the Assistant Commissioner for the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs overseeing community development, division on women, Center for Hispanic Policy, and many administrative functions.

DeAnna serves on the board of trustees of The Root Cause Coalition, Corporation for Supportive Housing and Women @NJPAC. DeAnna has been recognized by ROI-NJ as an Influencer of Color, an Influencer in Healthcare, and an Influencer in Business. Most recently, Ms. Minus-Vincent was recognized by the NJ Chamber of Commerce for her innovative business practices.

DeAnna received a Master of Public Administration from Rutgers University, and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from Morgan State University, a historically Black university. DeAnna is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Innovation. Myrtha Jasmin (MJ) was born in Brooklyn, NY, and raised in Lawrence Township.  "I moved to Princeton because it offers a lot of opportunities, but I do believe there should be more diversity in the town and that people of color need more of a voice than they have had previously. Plus, the  whole country needs to be in a better place. It's time for a new set of eyes and a listening ear," she said. She is particularly concerned about issues of the youth and the elderly. 

After graduating from Lawrence High School, she attended the Gordon Phillips Beauty School in Lawrence, where she studied the arts of hair-styling and makeup. Her experience in numerous salons helped her understand the connection between beauty and culture. 

In 2010, she started her own cosmetics line called Nadege Cosmetics, sold online. Myrtha continues to use her voice to inspire women around the Tri-State area, via video conferences and a growing social media platform. In 2015, she self-published her first novel titled "The Black Lily--The Frame,"  Myrtha has written other books including a short story, “The Loose Pearl” and her Highly Anticipated “Dearsis Journal” which are all available on Amazon.

Her hit podcast called “Dearsis”, is part of the New Pod City podcast network and can be heard on all Podcast Platforms.

CEO/Executive Director Latarsha Burke graduated from Trenton State College in 1995 with a degree in English Liberal Arts and a minor in Criminal Justice. In 2017 she graduated as a Fellow from the first Princeton Theological Urban Cohorts program. She has been honored by state, city and local organizations. 

She is founder of the African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County. The organization’s mission is to “To Educate, Empower, and Unite Africans in the diaspora through cultural arts, health and wellness, entertainment, and sports”.

In her 28 year career, Mrs. Burke has dedicated her life to ensuring the safety and stability of youth and families in New Jersey since 1995.  This work led her to volunteering in 2011 as a Logistics Coordinator for the Trenton African American Pride Festival. In 2013, upon the resignation of the festival’s founder LA Parker, Mrs. Burke was voted to become the next Executive Director. In 2014, Mrs. Burke became CEO of the Trenton African American Cultural Festival. After much deliberation and support by the team and numerous community partners, Mrs. Burke decided to change the name to the African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County and change the organization's status to a not for profit. 

On June 19, 2017 (YES Juneteenth) the African American Cultural Collaborative status changed to not for profit with programming offered to the Trenton and Mercer County Community. In a few years the  organization has increased its events from 1 month out of the year to 10 months. The progress is due to the time and commitment of a dedicated Executive Board, Advisors, partnerships and a host of volunteers! 

The African American Cultural Collaborative Team works year round to ensure that all programming is at no cost to attendees. As a result, since 2014,  the Collaborative has raised in the six figures to fulfill their mission of education and empowerment through arts, culture, entertainment, health and wellness and sports. 

Latarsha is a proud Board member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and the New Jersey Black Women’s Coalition.

Leo Bridgewater Sr. was born and raised in Trenton NJ. He attended Trenton Central HighSchool graduating in 1994. In 2001 Leo enlisted into the United States Army in response to the September 11 attacks in New York City and Washington DC. Leo spent 5 years as a Telecommunications specialist with multiple deployments to Iraq. Leo separated from the Army in 2006 and spent 2 ½ years working for the Dept. of the Army at the Pentagon in Washington DC. As a Department of Defense Contractor serving in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Leo has worked for companies like L-3 Communications, ITT systems, and Excellis.

Having had 3 battle buddies attempt suicide and 2 being successful. The number of Veteran suicides per day (22) is an issue Leo finds to be totally unacceptable. Leo’s advocacy has seen him testify in NJ Senate Committee to have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) added to the NJ Medical Marijuana Program. In September of 2016 NJ Gov. Chris Christie signed bill S-2345 adding PTSD as a qualifying condition to the NJMMP. Leo is an Advisory Board Member for Cannabis World Conference Business Expo (CWCBE), and National Director of Veterans Outreach with Minorities 4 Medical Marijuana. Leo is Co-Founder of Cannagather NJ and has partnered with organizations like Coalition Medical Marijuana New Jersey, Women Grow, Drug Policy Alliance, The Americans Civil Liberties Union, Cannabis Cultural Association, the New Jersey Cannabis Industry Association, and NJ Cannabusiness Association. Leo has testified in NJ Senate Committee for bill S3195 The Taxation and regulation of cannabis for adult use.

As a partner of Heart Community Capital, Co-Owner of Collective 60, and Co-host of the Smoke and Hero’s podcast. Leo hopes to be a vessel by which the industry works through in the state of New Jersey. Leo is married to Dr. LaShona Bridgewater PhD and has two children: Leo Jr. 16 and Langston 6.
