  • Is Star Trek Dying? – Earth Station Trek – Episode 212

That’s the question: “Is Star Trek Dying?” According to Robert Kazinsky, who played Zeph in the Section 31 film, it is — and he says he’s heard that directly from the boss’s mouth. So what do we think? Is it true? A couple years ago when we were getting Star Trek for almost a full calendar year, things were looking quite positive. Has that changed? What’s the state of fandom now? Has streaming helped or hurt the franchise? If it is true, and Trek really is dying, what’s the remedy? What can be done about it? We will answer (as best we can) all these questions and more in tonight’s LIVE show. And as always we welcome your questions and insights as well!

Earth Station Trek is a part of the ESO Podcast Network, Executive Producer Mike Faber.

    • If I cannot inspire love, I will cause fear!  | Earth Station Boo

The literary masterpiece that gave birth to modern science fiction—Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein! The Haunted hosts with our friend & Dragon Con Horror Track Director Derek Tatum chat about the groundbreaking themes of ambition, power, and responsibility. Not only discuss the haunting question of what truly makes a “monster,” but unpacks the enduring relevance of Shelley’s iconic novel. Shelley’s perspective as a young woman in a male-dominated literary world shaped her narrative and themes. The debate on whether Victor or society holds more blame for the creature’s tragic transformation, and the morality of scientific ambition and “playing God.”

Find out what the Haunted Hosts loved—and maybe didn’t love—about this Gothic Sci-Fi classic.

    • Fishing For Answers

Fishing for answers to some of life’s most intriguing questions on this week’s episode of HCWT.

Join Shawn and Leah as they ask each other the hard-hitting questions of the universe. We’re not talking about favourite colours or numbers here. Is reincarnation real? What is your favourite thing about yourself? These are the types of queries we have on this podcast episode. While you’re listening to the show, try to anticipate our answers. And, after that, think about your own ideas and the answers you may have to these questions. We would love to hear your thoughts. Send your answers, or any email ideas to [email protected]

If you want to share the podcast topic with your loved ones, we would be grateful. In fact, ask your friends and loved ones similar questions. To get to know someone better, start with open-ended questions that encourage sharing personal experiences, opinions, and values. These questions allow for more detailed answers and deeper conversations. Remember to listen actively and be genuinely interested in their responses. At any rate, this approach helps build rapport and creates a comfortable space for further conversation.

Here are some examples: Open-ended questions:

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend?

What is a cause you feel strongly about?

      What’s your dream job?

What brings you in a good mood?

What’s something you love learning about?

How do you like to stay updated on current events?

      What’s a book you’d recommend?

Where have you always wanted to travel to?

      What’s a skill you’re proud of?

Do you enjoy fishing for answers?

Also on this episode, we talk about our recent Etsy shop sales. Both Shawn and Leah have Etsy stores where they sell many different types of items. With a special focus on pop culture items, both Shawn and Leah try to focus on excellent customer service. Leah’s store is collectandcaston and Shawn’s shop is found at rustedrobottoys
