Francesca Kennedy is the mom of two boys with a third little boy on the way. She's a navy wife, a teacher and her heart for motherhood is just so evident from the first conversation you have with her. We discussed the importance of educating and advocating for yourself doing pregnancy.We talked about Francesca's first born's NICU stay and the grief and trauma that she experienced as well as how healing the birth of her second son was for her from that trauma. We talked pregnancy during covid, the comparison trap that comes with parenting and so much more. Joelle Schmid is a wife, mama of two, and the Program Coordinator for two adult foster care homes. Her journey to motherhood is a bit unusual as she really didn't plan on it happening due to a rare genetic disorder called Branchiooculofacial Syndrome that her husband and bonus son, Dylan, suffer from. We talk about her pregnancy with her son Cooper, and the fears that she and her husband battled while waiting to see if Cooper would also be afflicted with BOFS. Joelle talks about Cooper's birth story and what it was like being induced at 40+ weeks, how her older bonus son adjusted to a much younger brother, what their relationship is like today, and how she really just rolls with it. Joelle is an amazingly determined person and I know that you will love listening to her story.

Kaylon wears A LOT of hats but her favorite one is being a cowboy's mama. Kaylon has an adorable little boy, Kash, who's a Vegas Junior World Championship qualifier and an up and coming roper. She's the co-owner/operator of Cattleman's Feed and Ranch Supply. She's a barrel racer, a horse breeder and stallion owner, standing Guys Real Deal, a producer of multiple 1D horses. Kaylon and I have known each other a LONG time and it was a lot of fun talking barrel racing and how we both believe that even with horses, mamas make a BIG impact on the horse. My favorite part of the conversation was hearing Kaylon share about her journey to motherhood.  Less than a year after she was married, Kaylon found out that she had tumors on one of her ovaries and had to have the entire ovary removed. She talked about how the birth of her son, Kash, opened her eyes to just how much love you have for your child. We talked about how to raise a hard worker and the character that is instilled when raising your children with horses.
