  • Gravity's Rainbow (Addendum) - Part 1 - Chapter 1

Continuing my new more in depth musings on the early chapters of Gravity’s Rainbow. Talking more in depth here about Pirate’s dream of the end of the world and his place in the grand plot that is to emerge.

Sending this one out as a free audio post and will eventually change it. But I wanted all subscribers to know that this is something I’m doing now. Basically, if you didn’t see the last one, I started these because I find some of my early analyses of Gravity’s Rainbow to be mildly lackluster and just not as in depth as my later writing. So, I’m going for a more free form podcast style thing where I don’t have to dedicate so much time to writing and editing and can just ramble for a while. These will definitely have more depth but maybe less refinement since they’re unedited. It will be a feature for paid subs going forward. All regular postings will of course remain free.

  • 3 - The Presocratics (3) - Heraclitus: Before the Cave (Audio Version)

On episode three of The Exegesis of Empire, we will be focusing on perhaps the most well-known name in Presocratic philosophy, Heraclitus, with a specific focus on his tie-in to Plato’s Allegory of the Cave and its revalations for how we should come to understand the reality of our world.

This will be the only free Audio Post as a sample for those who want to see what it’s like before becoming Premium.

  • Mason & Dixon - Part 2 - Chapter 0: Land of the Free (Audio Version)

An analysis on the title of Part 2 of Mason & Dixon, focusing on the inherent and implied meanings in the name, America. Including a bonus on a look back at the major themes on Part 1, Latitudes and Departures, and how they will continue through the rest of the novel.

Edit: Updated in the text version but cannot here. Obviously, Costa Rica should have been included in the Central/South American section, not the island section.

  • Gravity's Rainbow - Part 2 - Chapter 0: The Film Set in Motion (Audio Version)

Some analyses on the Title of Part 2 (Un Perm’ au Casino Hermann Goering) and on the Epigraph to this Part.

This one will be available to free subscribers. I think I will be making the first section to every Part available to paid and free, the rest only to paid. All audio files for Part 1 are up, I just have been refraining from sending them via email so you don’t despise me for bombarding you all.
