In the room of the first chain, Luna's own reflection stares back with eyes that are not hers. The grandmother's voice comes from behind the glass, offering a new bargain. Luna must choose whether to light the candle and burn the letter, or step through the mirror and accept the soul trade. The corridor of reflections grows darker as the grandmother reveals the true cost of refusal. Luna's sister's reflection fractures, and the mirrors begin to close in. A door appears at the far end of the corridor, but the grandmother warns it leads to the beginning, not the end. Luna reaches for the candle, but the flame is cold. The grandmother laughs as the mirrors show Luna every moment of her life, each one a choice she never made. The episode ends with Luna stepping through the mirror, only to find herself in the convent chapel, alone, with a cradle at the altar and a name that is not hers on the baptismal record.
