The Exorcist's Notebook — Fexingo Horror

Luna stands in the grandmother's room beneath the convent, holding the ledger that reveals the true bargain binding her family for decades. The cradle creaks, and the doll with Luna's face seems to shift. Her sister urges her to break the cycle, but Luna cannot stop reading — names, dates, payments. She finds her own name listed with a future date, and beside it, a blank space where her child's name would go. Footsteps echo from the tunnel. Luna's sister begs her to run, but Luna refuses. She follows the sound to a hidden cellar door, where she finds a wall of photographs showing every woman in her family — her grandmother, her mother, herself — each holding an infant. The latest photograph is a Polaroid, still developing. The face in the picture is Luna's, but the child is not her own.

But as Luna reads the final entry, she realizes the grandmother is not dead. She is still here, in the walls, waiting. The knock at the bedroom door echoes through the crawlspace beneath the convent chapel. Luna answers to find a woman who looks like her mother twenty years younger — her sister, still alive. The sister leads her through hidden tunnels to a room lined with cradles, each holding a doll with a child's face. In the centre, a cradle rocks itself, holding a blank doll with a name tag that reads 'Luna Marie.' The sister tells her their mother's plan was never about protection — it was about preservation. The bargain wasn't to save Luna; it was to keep her childhood frozen in a single moment. Luna finds a baptismal record that names her mother as the first child delivered to the basement, rewriting everything she thought she knew. The episode ends with Luna's sister standing before a locked trapdoor, asking if Luna is ready to meet the woman who started it all: their grandmother.

Luna is frozen before a dark mirror in the convent chapel, watching her own reflection stand motionless while she breathes. The girl with Luna's face disappears, leaving only the name 'Luna Marie' carved into the altar stone. Luna breaks the mirror with a candlestick and finds a hidden compartment behind it containing a photograph of two girls — one of them her mother, the other a stranger with Luna's eyes. A handwritten note on the back reads: 'Sister Margaret, forgive me. She is not yours to take.' Luna realizes the girl in the white dress was not her — it was her sister, the one her mother sacrificed in her place. She follows a trail of dried flowers to a crawlspace beneath the chapel floor, where she finds a child's bed and a diary written in her sister's hand. The final entry reads: 'Luna is coming. I must be ready to show her the truth before she makes the same mistake.' The episode ends with Luna hearing footsteps above her and a woman's voice calling her sister's name.

Luna emerges from the convent basement into a forgotten chapel, clutching a ledger that bears her sister's name. The names inside match the carved names from the rectory floor, but one entry is different—her own name, written in her mother's hand with a date that hasn't happened yet. Luna searches the chapel for more records and finds a hidden confessional where a priest's diary reveals the bargain: children were traded between the rectory and the convent, and Luna's mother was not just complicit—she was the one who brought her to the basement. A door behind the altar creaks open, and Luna sees a figure in a white dress standing in the doorway, holding a candle. The figure is a girl with Luna's face, and she points to a name carved into the altar stone: Luna Marie. The episode ends with Luna's own reflection in a dark mirror, but the reflection doesn't move.
