Athlete KIMMY MOSS, invited me to experience an ICE BATH and it was an amazing and invigorating day. We talk about the physiological and psychological aspects of doing something this intense -- and how she learned about it from an Extreme Performance Training workshop in Hawaii, taught by big wave surfer Laird Hamilton and volleyball star Gabrielle Reece. She talks about non-competitive athletics as a powerful tool in achieving personal growth in all areas of life.
In my second interview with therapist ALAN LIEBERT we talk about relationships both romantic and otherwise -- and the challenges to maintaining those relationships. Who knew this stuff was going to require so much effort? Ha!
When ELIZABETH COLBURN-MORAITES discovered she had Multiple Sclerosis, it led her on a path of self-healing and discovery beginning with meditation. She later found the power and energy in crystals and became a healer and practitioner. She also talks to me about her solo trip to Turkey and Nepal to study sound bowl therapy -- a courageous endeavor in itself, which has opened new doors in her work with clients around the globe. A great conversation with a wonderfully kind, curious and delightful human being.
I talk to CAROL PRENTICE about her path to becoming an Ayurveda practitioner and teacher of the Alexander Technique and yoga. It all began with a back surgery at 16 years old which led to a life dedicated to helping others through finding answers to overcoming her own issues. We cover a wide-range of topics such as stress, breathing, gut health, the influence of technology and the mind/body relationship. Lots of great info, insight and honesty. Carol rocks!

OLIVIA BAREHAM is a death midwife. I didn't know those existed either, but what a wonderful blessing she offers to both the dying and those left behind. We talk about the home funeral, the living funeral, ancient and modern rituals -- and how her training as a healer intersected with the AIDS epidemic, leading to her calling to provide a spiritual and healing transition for the dying. We deal with the questions of: What is grief? What does it mean to die? What have we lost as a culture with funeral homes? What does it mean to be human? How do we find the beauty in the inevitable? Heavy stuff, but why not?
ALAN LIEBERT tells his miraculous story of being the only living survivor of a risky surgery where he had to be killed in order to save his life. This experience profoundly changed him, prompting him to dedicate himself to helping others as a licensed psychotherapist. We talk about what it means to be alive, how we define success, aging, how we choose to perceive the world and traffic. Amazing guy!
PAUL OLLINGER & MIKE CARANO talk with me about how we relate to money, what it means to us and the ways money can be our friend or enemy. Mike opens up about the chaos around money which he experienced in his family of origin and how it has affected his adult life. Part informational, part comedy and part therapy, this episode was a lot of fun for me. Enjoy.
