Perfectionism is an unhelpful fear response that I manage and help clients manage as well. Unmanaged perfectionism keeps us from hitting our goals. Listen in to hear a fresh perspective on how to respond to perfectionism (aka a fancy buffer for fear).
Gratitude can be a great place to start bringing magic back into your life. If it feels trite to consider a gratitude practice because it's talked about so much or for how it was talked about in church, I understand. Listen to hear a skeptics perspective on gratitude practices.
I referenced my good friend Corey Pickett (coachwithcorey.com), this Knock Knock gratitude journal, the book The Magic, the Emotional Scale, Motion calendar app, and this piece of Alice in Wonderland art.

Being angry during a faith crisis or transition makes sense. And you can use this anger for good. Listen for a new perspective on the connection between anger and being misunderstood.
I created this game to help my clients see optional ways to look at situations and circumstances in their lives. Listen in to learn exactly how to use this tool and what to do if you feel stuck in a negative situation or emotion.
I referenced Man's Search for Meaning and feelingswheel.com in this episode. I also encouraged listeners to join my weekly newsletter/client waitlist at coachjosiejohnson.com. I am opening up lots of client spots later this summer and those on the waitlist will be first in line.
No matter what's going on around you during General Conference (or any other possibly triggering religious event or holiday), you can create the feeling of groundedness within you. The emotion "grounded" comes from our thoughts. You can get yourself there even if it feels like everything around you is the opposite of grounded. Listen in for a simple exercise to help you get started.

5 Places to Declutter During Faith Crisis and Transition:
(1) Your Closet - You're a new person now. How do you want to express yourself outwardly? How don't you want to anymore?
(2) Your Calendar - Your time is yours even if it hasn't always felt like it. What do you want to do with your time? How do you want to spend your life? How don't you want to spend your time anymore?
(3) Your Self Image - You get to decide who you think you are. Who are you? What self depricating or limitng beliefs are you ready to release?
(4) Your Media - You get to decide what programs your brain and whose voice you listen to. What media do you want to consume? What ideas don't you want to be training your brain to think?
(5) Your Morals - You get to declutter all those "right" answers you've been taught including what areas you believe are moral issues versus not. For example, maybe there aren't "good" foods or a "good" use of time or one way to be a "good" parent. What is "right" for you? What is "wrong" in your eyes?

In this episode, I talk about how to make good decisions.
Spoiler: A "good" decision is a thought and you can think your decision is "good" no matter what.
Shoulding on yourself (thinking "I should've chosen something else"), regretting your choice, and believing you made the wrong choice are all always optional -- whether you're thinking about what you chose to pick at the restaurant or how you chose to come out to your family about your new beliefs about the church.
"Wrong" according to who? Or what definition?
You are the authority and the validator of your choices.
Listen in if you're sick of procrastinating decisions or feeling like you always make the wrong ones. Hang out with me after the episode on Instagram @coachjosiejohnson and DM me there to learn about private life coaching.
