This is our new normal. Many of our churches are temporally closed. I hope to answer your questions and offer some ways to help you relax and stay spiritually fulfilled. We all need to truly follow the mantra “What Would Jesus Do?” Remember, God loves you.

The COVID 19 pandemic is here. It's real and we'll be here for a while. Simply put, we’re all in this together. And, we will get through this. Churches are closing and Easter is just weeks away. Let me share my thoughts and prayers.

Yes. What that means, though, as the Catechism states, is that we look for the meaning that the author of any given Scripture passage meant to convey, we don’t just look at the words on the page and take them at face value. For example, Mt 25:31-46

The Coronavirus or Covid-19 is being discussed on every media platform. It's nearly impossible to avoid. On today's podcast we'll discuss the changes we'll see in our churches. The Catholic Church has a sacred duty to look after the health and safety of their community gathered each day for worship and prayer in their parishes. 

As a Catholic Priest, it's not unusual for me to have parishioners reach out for advice. It can be a range of issues from alcohol, drugs, infidelity, health, difficulty with the church and so on. Yes, your priest is busy, but never too busy to help.  

Sometimes it's harder to make amends with a family member than it is to give up a favorite food. Lent is a time for self-examination. Life is short, and being a kind and caring person shouldn't be a sacrifice. I'll see you at Mass.

For many of us, Lent seems to have rushed right up on us. Lent invites us to make our hearts ready for remembering Jesus’ passion and celebrating Jesus’ resurrection. Although a solemn time, it is also a hopeful, expectant time of prayer and devotion.

Parishioners will occasionally invite me to lunch. Truth be told, that's how this podcast began. Parishioners often ask how a priest is compensated. Well, we're paid a stipend, housed and fed. But spiritually, I’m over compensated.

Babies crying, parishioners walking in late and the person with the nagging cough. What's a Catholic Priest to do? First, be thankful their attending mass. Then, pray they are 'present' during the service. Let me explain what I mean by 'present’.

A Marian apparition is a reported supernatural appearance by Mary, the mother of Jesus. A perception of Mary in ordinarily-explainable natural phenomena, and miracles associated with Marian artwork, such as a weeping statue. The Catholic Church has a formal process for assessing claimed apparitions.
