In Ezekiel 37, God tells Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones, and He will bring them to life. We sometimes find ourselves in a valley of dry bones, but the hand of the Lord is upon you to see the greatest miracles of all time. He's given us the keys to the Kingdom, but we've got to pull them out of our pockets!

St Patrick prayed a prayer called 'I Arise Today', stating his intent to be always dependant on God for his strength. In Isaiah 60, it says "Arise and shine for your light has come", and that "nations will come to your light". You, as one of Christ's coheirs, have the opportunity to carry this light into darkness, with God as your constant strength.

In our walk with God, we need focus and passion. In difficult times, when Jesus asked Peter if he also would leave Him, Peter said "Where will we go? You have the words of life." Peter had seen and heard Jesus' message, and had set his heart on it, no matter what. We also find that these promises of God are words of life when we set our hearts after them with focus and passion.

In Exodus 24, God invites Moses up the mountain to a place where he has never been before - a place of intimacy, encounter and change. God has the same invitation for you: "come up higher!".

Everyone gets tempted by lures of all shapes and sizes. The important thing, however, is what we do with that temptation. Jesus was tempted in the desert, yet managed to continue in what the Father had planned for Him, and this is our model for how to walk through temptation.

Jesus said that He has come to heal the broken-hearted. He announced purpose and wholeness for His people, yet so much of the world walks out their days feeling broken-hearted and rejected. Only God can fill the place of rejection in your heart with His acceptance, for He chose you to be part of His family. What a Father He is!

We are called to say "no" to compromise in our lives. We are called to say "no" to the devil, to say "no" to certain ways of living, and to say "no" to the things which distract us from God. The armour of God mentioned in Ephesians 6 helps us say "no" to these things, and equips us to live a protected life which says "yes" to God.
