In Matthew 5, Jesus tells us that we cannot plunder the strongman's house until we first bind him. The enemy seeks to steal and plunder from our lives, but because of what Jesus has done, we have authority to take back what the enemy has stolen. Bind the strongman in your life, and live in the freedom that Jesus has for you.

The Bible contains 7847 promises for His people, which we stand on daily. Two of the promises that are more often forgotten are persecution and adversity. When we are really walking in God's call for our lives, these two things are not just likely, but guaranteed. We are called to stand strong in our faith through adversity, knowing that if He promises something, He has a powerful purpose for it.

Love has been so greatly corrupted by the world, but yet we worship a God who “is love”. If we have a distorted view of love, we reduce God's love to our understanding of it. Yet love is what we are called to, and love is why we are here. Rediscover the love of God today!

One of God's names is “Jehovah Shalom”, which means “God who is peace”. Jesus is declared as the 'Prince of Peace', yet as His followers, we often don't know peace ourselves. We allow our circumstances to determine what's going on inside us, and to bring up fear and anxiety in us. Instead, we can have the revelation that Peace is a Person, and Peace is always present with us.

Our God, our Redeemer, wills to be active in our lives. Sometimes we get a distorted picture of Him, however, and end up worshiping an “unknown god”. God instead wants us to know Him and His perfect love manifested in our lives, so we, like Job, can say “I know my redeemer lives”.

Sometimes we feel like we've dealt with issues in our lives, only to discover that they surface again, and we've only really suppressed them or ignored them. Sometimes we've done things that have led to painful consequences, or have suffered the consequences because of what someone else has done. Looking at the life of David, however, we see what it really means to have our hearts set on God and His freedom. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free!

On the day Jesus healed the paralytic who was lowered through the roof, Scripture says the “power of the Lord was present to heal”. Jesus said to the man “your sins are forgiven”, then told him to get up, for where the Presence of God is, there is forgiveness and healing. Become aware of His Presence, and begin to walk in a life of forgiveness and power.

When we embrace God, we embrace a mystery. We know that He is everywhere, but He also makes His Presence manifest in different places and at different times. We must always be hungry for the manifest Presence of God in our lives, and anything short of that is just religion. The fullness of joy is found in His Presence, so discover His Presence, and discover joy!

Throughout Jesus' life, he healed everyone who came to Him asking for healing. We know that Jesus is the exact representation of the Father's nature, and so it is always the Father's will to heal. We may not yet have seen everyone we pray for healed, but nevertheless, Jesus told us to “heal the sick”. We cannot let our negative experiences water-down our commission from God. He is Healer, and we are all empowered to carry His healing to the world.

2 Chronicles 7 says that if God's people will humble themselves, pray and turn from their wicked ways, He will heal their land. We are His people, and we need His revival to touch our land. Prior to the Welsh Revival, Evan Roberts prayed “bend me oh Lord”. This place of willingness and abandonment is where we too must live!
