There are many promises that God has made about our lives that we may not have seen come to fruition yet. Walking "in step with the Spirit" (Gal 5:25) is God's plan for us to learn to live as Jesus lived and to step into the what God has for us. Moses knew that the thing that is to distinguish us, the people of God, from everyone else is the Presence of God. As we value His Presence, His transforming power takes over.

As a body, we are in a state of transition. Many people are cacooned by the hurts and struggles of life, but the process of each of us getting out of our cocoons is essential for us to gain strength. The ultimate destination of a caterpillar is not to be a caterpillar, and your ultimate destination is not to stay where you are. The Holy Spirit enables each of us to break out of passivity and woundedness, and into the great plans that He has for us.

Strongholds can be many and varied - opinions, thoughts, doubts, fears, vows, sins and even habits - but all can be made captive to Christ. We have to recognise anything in us that isn't like Jesus, because God is looking for Himself in us. As we were made in His image, may we be continually transformed into His likeness.

In Revelation, Jesus says to the church in Ephesus that they have abandoned the love that they had for Him at first, and tells them to return to their first love. We also are to continually return to our first love, Jesus, who first loved us. Everything else pales in comparison to loving Him and being loved by Him!

In 2 Corinthians 10 Paul tells us that we must take every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ. We often have thoughts that are unhelpful to us - full of fear, doubt, pride etc. - but by making our thoughts obedient to Christ, we are able to take up His weapons that have power to demolish strongholds.

Having the Holy Spirit upon you is even "better" than having Jesus walking around next to you. Jesus said so Himself! Our lives can radically change if we learn to walk "in step with the Spirit", as Paul exhorts us to in Galatians 5:25. By living aware of Him, we become more like Him.

It's crucial that we allow God to transform our thought-life as well as our physical and spiritual lives. In 2 Cor 10:5, it says that "we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ". If we entertain thoughts that do not submit themselves to the Word of God, we submit ourselves to the enemy and his plans. If we entertain thoughts that are from God, however, we soon find freedom and change! This is the first part in a series which will be available from www.thefathershouse.com.au in the near future.

Jesus said he has come to "seek and save the lost". Within the Parables of the Lost Son, the Lost Coin and the Lost Sheep, He reveals His heart for the lost to be found. We have all lost things, whether they be friends, dreams, or even our purpose. Jesus wants to restore and save the lost!

As believers, we don't have to fight for what God has promised, but we are to enforce the victory that Jesus has paid for. Jesus said that in the end times the Spirit of Elijah will rest on a generation, and we need to know what that looks like for us as the body of Christ and as individuals.

This miraculous testimony attests to God's power to make all things new. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate our resurrected King - a God who is alive and still working today. The Holy Spirit wants to deeply impact and transform your life just as He has renewed this one's.
