*- boldly: of the undoubting confidence of Christians relative to their fellowship with God

*- We are only as bold as we are confident in God.

*- It could be said this way: Let us therefore approach the throne of grace (undeserved favor—leaning towards to share benefits), with undoubting confidence concerning our relationship and fellowship with God because Jesus is our Great High Priest.

33 Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

*- Once you've gained confidence, after facing lack and still giving of yourself, don't throw it away because it will be difficult to get it back to that level.

*- Confidence must not only be gained and used; it must be guarded when circumstances pressure us to throw it away.

*- Why don’t we faithfully believe God’s messengers today as they did in the Bible days?

Lifework Assignment:

*- Build and maintain a strong relationship with God—which births boldness and confidence.

Expected Behavior:

*- One reason many Christians fear that God won’t use them when they boldly and confidently pray for someone to be healed, witness to a stranger, or use one of their spiritual gifts is that they don’t sense the presence of God with them—because their relationship with God is weak.

*- Boldness and confidence can prevent doubt, fear, and anxiety about being used by and receiving from God.

Many people treat salvation like a finish line, but the real challenge is learning how to stay saved. If you find yourself caught in a cycle of failing, feeling frustrated, and trying to fix your spiritual walk entirely on your own, you are carrying a burden you were never meant to carry alone.

How to Stay Saved

*- One of the biggest lies people believe is that if we get saved, we’ll go to Heaven.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

*- Paul is not saying: “Work for your salvation.”

For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

*- trembling: used to describe the anxiety of those who completely distrust their ability to meet all of God’s requirements, but will unwaveringly do their utmost to fulfill their duty.

*- Those who do not spend the needful time in prayer, reading and living the Word of God, congregating, and faithfully fellowshipping, as the early believers did, cannot allow God to fully work His salvation in their lives. Selfishness leads them to do things their own way while deceiving themselves into believing that God accepts their ways—living without fear and trembling.

*- This is not an invitation to continuing right or wrong. It is a judicial declaration of who you are.

*- There comes a point when Christ returns that a person’s character is permanently fixed.

*- When there's no more opportunity for repentance, the righteous remain righteous, and the wicked remain wicked.

*- How do we watch? Are we watching?

*- watch: give strict attention to, be cautious, active—to take heed lest, through remissness (carelessness, negligence, and a failure to do your job or duty) and indolence (laziness, idleness, or the avoidance of work and physical or mental exertion), some destructive calamity suddenly overtake one.

Lifework Assignment:

Ask, “Holy Spirit, help me to seriously and honestly examine my current relationship with God, repair where my side of the relationship is broken, and never fall back into selfishness again. Then, I can and will effectively help others mend and strengthen their relationship with God.”

Expected Behavior:

*- Why do we often believe that instead of asking God, it’s better to scramble around to ask for others' opinions and help?

*- Instead of waiting on God’s timing, because we don’t like waiting on Him, we’d rather ask someone else to care for our need.

*- If we’re honest, we don’t like being faithful to God's flow of asking Him and then waiting on Him.

*- Is it a guarantee that people will have the solution to our problem?

*- No, but God guarantees that everyone will receive it if we ask Him.

8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

*- God is faithful to His flow—making sure we receive if we ask.

*- “Well, I asked God, and I didn’t receive what I asked for.”

*- We ask for a car. God provides another way for us to get from point A to point B.

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.

*- In our eyes, we’re wise when we try to provide for ourselves, instead of acknowledging God.

*- We ask for a better relationship with someone. God reveals that we’ve caused problems and what we must do to fix our part—before we even approach the other person about their wrongdoing.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

*- Instead of expecting God to answer according to how you’ve imagined, ask for God to supply your need. Then, be patient to allow Him to choose how you’ll be supplied. (Philippians 4:19)

When Trouble Comes

*- Instead of asking, “Why does God allow trouble?”

*- Ask, “Why does trouble allow God?”

*- Trouble never succeeds where God’s promises are believed and acted upon.

*- Trouble only allows God to operate where we allow God to operate by our faith and works.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, And delivereth them out of all their troubles.

*- It’s not a sign of doubt when the righteous cry out to God for help—from a heart of dependence on Him.

*- The cry for God to intervene in our lives resembles that of babies who cannot care for their current needs. Therefore, don’t cry because you don’t want to act. God doesn’t honor the unrighteous when they cry—unless they’re crying out in repentance for salvation.

And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

Psalm 50:15 KJV

*- Trouble is not just a problem—it’s an invitation.

*- God allows trouble and expects us to call on Him, and when we call Him, He delivers us, and we glorify Him!

*- If we remove the call, we remove the deliverance.

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

Psalm 91:15 KJV

*- God does not always remove trouble immediately—He first joins you in it.

*- His presence in trouble is proof that trouble does not have authority over you.

*- Trouble does not determine your outcome—God’s presence does.

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: In the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

Psalm 27:5 KJV

*- Trouble is not where you are exposed—it is where God hides you.

*- While others see pressure, God is positioning you.

*- While others see trouble, God sees transition.

*- When trouble comes, it doesn’t ask for your permission—it demands your attention.

*- But instead of giving trouble your attention, give God your immediate response.

*- Instead of panic—pray.

*- Instead of fear—believe.

*- Instead of reacting—respond in faith.

*- Trouble reveals what we truly believe about God.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 8:28 KJV

*- All things work together for good, so don’t fire your workers—because trouble does not work against us—it works for us when we love God and stay aligned with His purpose.

*- Trouble only defeats those who disconnect from God in the middle of it.

*- Trouble came to choose you—but God already chose you.

*- Trouble came to define you—but God already defined you.

*- Trouble came to stop you—but God already sent you…and He backs you with His power!

Pray, “Holy Spirit, help me to always choose Your guidance instead of reacting to trouble.”

Expected Behavior:
