When you come to Jesus and take his yoke, you don’t just learn what Jesus does, you learn how he does it. There’s something about the way Jesus lived and worked that can bring life and rest to the way we live and work. In this message, Sarah reminds us to come to and get away with Jesus, and watch his ways.

In Matthew 11, Jesus makes an invitation to come to him. We explored how this invitation is available to us today and it brings us true rest. This invitation is for us to be “yoked” or connected with Jesus. This invitation is also for us to examine our connections with other people and things and how those yokes impact our relationship with Jesus. We also explored how the early church wrestled with putting yokes on Gentile believers that were contrary to the yoke of Jesus.

Looking at stories of baptism from the Bible and from our community, Sarah talks about how relational our walks of faith are meant to be. Faith isn’t designed to be practiced alone. We go down into the waters together, and together we rise from the waters.

“How to be a witness when the end is near” could be the subtitle for this message from I Peter 4:7-11. Beginnings and endings are a natural part of life, but they always feel so intense and urgent. How do we respond? Sarah walks us through Peter’s instructions for tough times and brings inspiration from the story of Julian of Norwich.

On the Day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to tell all peoples about Jesus—everywhere—even to the ends of the Earth. Sharing stories about local churches and Queen Bertha from AD 590, Sarah reminds us that we are also empowered to tell all peoples everywhere about Jesus.

During her college years as a geology student, Cheryl was a rock-solid atheist. But God used bombardier beetles, workflow charts, a traveling prophet, and a relentless pack of friends to pursue Cheryl. Ultimately, Cheryl’s life was transformed. Listen and be encouraged by God’s faithfulness, and be inspired to reach out to others who need Jesus.

In Mark 4-5 we read the story of Jesus crossing the Sea of Galilee with his disciples to bring freedom to a man and his community. We explored the significance of the storm that they endured and how in our lives we experience storms that reveal to us what is in us and what is available to us in Christ. In this story, we focused on how Jesus pursued the freedom and healing of the man possessed by a legion of demons. Upon his departure from the region, Jesus told the man to tell others about the great mercy Jesus had shown to him.

When the disciple John writes about Jesus on the night of the last supper, John says, “Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end” (John 13). What does “loving them to the end” look like? Listen to hear 4 different ways Jesus loved in the cross and resurrection story.

In a world where truth is constantly challenged, Sarah talks about how to have a truth encounter with God. Primarily from the Moses Burning Bush story (Exodus 3) and excerpts from the Gospel of John, Sarah explores the truth of who God is as well as three lies that can cripple our belief.

Mike shares with us moments in his life where he was reluctant to accept Jesus and how Jesus continued to pursue and transform him. He reminds us that Jesus will not leave the lost or reluctant behind but rather, in His infinite love for us, will find us and change our lives for the better.
