Stocking Stuffers 4.11 Love for Christmas aka A Golden Christmas 3: Look, Christmas is nice and all, but is it ever REALLY a happy holiday without a pair of adorable puppies? Thankfully, 2012’s Love For Christmas (aka A Golden Christmas 3, and no, you don’t have to watch the first two to follow) gets that, and Emily is thrilled to share the glory of golden retrievers with special guest star comedian Kevin Maher. There’s a LOT to talk about, even if this film is 43% montage. Stocking Stuffers 4.10 A Christmas Cruise: Thread some holly into your flip flops and board A Christmas Cruise, this year’s Vivica A. Fox starring, David DeCoteau directed romance. Emily is all alone for this one, but perhaps that’s fitting for a movie about a singles cruise.

4.9 Christmas In the Smokies: The Haygood Farm is in trouble, and Emily needs a little help to save it from evil land developers. Thankfully, she’s joined by none other than Carol Bordon, the keeper of the culturalgutter.com and monstrousindustry.wordpress.com. Together, they head to Netflix for 2015’s Christmas In the Smokies a movie that asks the hard-hitting questions like just how poorly can you run a business and still have baby Jesus save you from foreclosure? Stocking Stuffers 4.8 The Christmas Chronicles: A big movie needs a big guest star, and that’s just what we get here. Emily is joined by podcaster/blogger Elwood Jones of Movies & Tea and the Asian Cinema Film Club to tackle Netflix’s 2018 release The Christmas Chronicles, starring the one and only Kurt Russell as the hottest Elvis-impersonating Santa Claus you ever dreamed of. Car chases, rock ‘n roll, and bloodthirsty elves unite for a rollicking good time that thankfully, still hits on quite a few of the Cozy Cardigan tropes we’ve come to love so.

Stocking Stuffers 4.7 Christmas At the Palace: AKA the year’s official figure skating movie without nearly enough figure skating for Emily’s liking. Set in a fictional European country. With a king. And LOTS of dead parents. A 2018 Hallmark original that you will indeed forget.

Stocking Stuffer 4.6. The Truth About Christmas: Emily taps into her inner Jim Carrey for this year’s Liar Liar edition, but she needs a little holiday help from Santa’s favorite elf. That’s right! It’s Jason FozzieBare Nelson, back from under the bridge in that tunnel to assist with FreeForm’s The Truth About Christmas. Also on the docket: embracing tackiness, the inhumanity of drinking beer through a straw, and the glory of discovering that the real Santa Claus has come to earth to cameo in FreeForm Christmas movies under the pseudonym Paul Dick. 4.5. A Christmas Prince 2: Royal Wedding: Sound the Aldovian trumpets! On this very regal episode, Emily is joined by the delightful podcaster Elizabeth Katheryn Gray to tackle Netflix’s sequel to last year’s runaway success with A Christmas Prince 2: Royal Wedding. Basically, it’s like the Asylum Studio did an adaptation of the Prince Harry/Megan Markle relationship, but added more public domain holiday music. Emily tackles 2014’s The Tree That Saved Christmas, an UP Network original starring Lacey Chabert as a big city assistant trying to be a writer and also trying to save her parents’ Christmas tree farm from being turned into a golf course by the evil bank, led in part by her ex-boyfriend who–hold onto your eggnog–just might still be in love with her.
