I saw a post that said "I’d rather be embarrassed by who I was 10 years ago than be the same person", and it really resonated with me! We don't have to hide until we get it right. We don't have to wear a mask until we feel good about ourselves. Be yourself, and you'll attract people to appreciate you for who you are.
It is hard to put your real self out there, and it sucks to get rejected, but it’s the only way to live. Why do we hide ourselves?
Show me your friends and I'll show you your future - Unknown
The people we let into our lives help shape us and what we believe is possible. What if you surrounded yourself with people doing and succeeding at what you wanted to do? Do the people you share your dreams with believe in you? It matters! Let's talk about why.
“Can we skip to the good part?” NO! We can’t. But what we can do is be more realistic about the time and effort it takes to get good at something. It’s easy to look at someone else’s success and gloss over the struggle it took them to get there, but it’s a different story when we’re the one struggling. You’re not falling behind because someone else made success look easy. How long did they have to stick with it while it sucked before it paid off? Let’s talk about it.
If you're the friend who always brings the wine, likes to talk about deep stuff, and may or may not struggle to keep her stories on track, you're my people. This week we're discussing how we tend to support our friends more than ourselves, why that is, and how to be more supportive of ourselves. Don't be the one who rejects you.
Cheers!

This episode we're meandering around that idea that, to get where we need to go, we have to acknowledge where we're at. Grab a glass of wine and join me on the adventure of figuring out how to get started and where we wanna take this thing.
Cheers!
