In our marriage there are things that rear their ugly heads again AND AGAIN!  I am not talking about the everyday disagreements that you are so sick and tired of as a Christian wife (and will be able to eliminate with God's ways).  I am talking about something much deeper here!  If we are to have the marriage that God has promised us, we HAVE GOT TO destroy the things that are seeking to destroy our marriages.  To do that, we need to find and pull the weeds that are hiding just beneath the surface.

This is a massive and ESSENTIAL question!  God's kingdom and design within marriage looks crazy, especially in the culture that we live in today.  But that is why you and I need to ask ourselves as wives—how bad do we want peace?  Are we desperate to the point where we are willing to risk looking crazy, even to our closest friends?  Being desperate will lead us to peace and IT WILL ultimately be what ends the fighting in our marriages.

The word of God says not to conform to the pattern of this world.  But everyday as Christian wives we conform when we use the method of fighting to solve the unrest in our marriages.  Marriage was in the heart of God and is therefore a kingdom idea.  We cannot think to solve a kingdom problem without applying kingdom methods!
