Snobbies! We’re back with Cody’s pick for REMAKES and this one is a stone cold classic. Kurt Russell has never been hotter?? Questions mark?? This remake is from a 1951 original called, “The Thing From Another World,” adapted from the 1938 novel, Who Goes There? WE WATCHED Director John Carpenter’s,  “The Thing.” THIS. FILM. RULES!!! We had an absolute blast watching this film. Every once and a while, the Snobs watch a film that just makes us react. The Thing was more psychological than we thought and we loved talking through what makes us human? Who can we trust? What even was this film trying to say? One thing was for sure, this film had EPIC visual effects. Ooey, Gooey, gutsy, visual effects.  Enjoy this legendary film

SNOBBIES! This is the LAST young snobs episode of the bunch. We are very happy and blessed to welcome Nathan and Luca Mendes. The MENDES brothers from the land of Brazil! This episode was a blast as the brothers picked a film that we did NOT expect, 2018’s…from director’s John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein…GAME NIGHT! Jason Bateman’s best and most straight man and Jesse Plemons’s absolute most hilarious and awkward roles he’s ever done.  This was such a fun film to talk about and thank you SOOOOOO much to the young snobs that stopped in to chat with us. YOYOYO!!! Snobbies, we are starting a NEW topic this month. This topic is a treat and we are throwing the choice of film and discussion to a few of our lucky, young snobs, in a topic called…YOUNG SNOBS! They will host and drive the pod! This week we have JOHNATHAN, who appeared on the “Good Morning” episode and had a lot of great insights. Back on the scene and only 17 years old! Good morning SNOBBIES! And welcome back to our episode on Terence Davies month. This week we have Jared’s pick and he decided to go with “The Long Day Closes.” This film has a similar feel and vibe to Distant Voices, Still Lives. In this film we follow the perspective of Bud, a boy in Liverpool in the 1950’s, coming of age around the other family members and the austere Catholic Church as he enters the rigors of school, nurtures a bedazzled love of the movies and longs for companionship. Jared says this is a near perfect film and Terence Davies best film he’s ever made. We dive into childhoods, favorite shots, the Davies Dissolve, and much much more. Enjoy!

Snobbies. Welcome to a new segment. Today we are featuring an old ep from the archives. This episode is one that we have talked about more than once on the podcast. The topic when this originally aired was "Going on a Journey." This was Ricky's week to pick a film and he decided to go with MXP Most Xtreme Primate as the film that best represented "Going on a Journey." You can tell on the pod, but I was a little less than enthusiastic about this pick. Probably one of the only times I've actively tried to derail a podcast due to how horrible the film was.
