In this episode, I interview Bryan Overstreet and Reef Bessette. Bryan and Reef recently opened The Coffee Movement, a specialty coffee cafe between Chinatown and Nob Hill in San Francisco, California. Reef and Bryan tell the story of how they met and embarked on the journey that became The Coffee Movement.

In this episode I interview Jay Sanders, Co-Owner of 392 Caffe. Jay and his wife, Jenna started 392 Caffe in Clinton, Iowa in 2011 and have recently expanded their brand, opening a new shop in downtown Davenport, Iowa. Jay tells their story and how their dream to open their own coffee shop transplanted them from Los Angeles, California to the Quad Cities area of Iowa.

For this episode, I drove out to Des Moines, Iowa to visit my friends Brad & Nam at Horizon Line Coffee. These guys are transplants in the Midwest from California just like myself and moved to Des Moines for the express purpose of opening a coffee shop together.

They tell their story of how they got into coffee and where their dream of owning their own shop and the decision to move to Des Moines from Southern California started.

In this episode I interview U.S. Latte Art Champion, Simeon Bricker, of Split Log Coffee Co. in Kansas City. Simeon recently placed 6th in the New Orleans Coffee Champs Barista Qualifier and will be competing in Seattle at the U.S. Barista Championship in April.
