Studying the background to Paul's words in Romans 9 has presented many intriguing enigmas for the Calvinist interpretation of his words. In this episode I present one final enigma. Throughout the years, many have characterized Esau and his descendants in an unfair way, even a grotesque way, but the Calvinist depiction may be the most grotesque of all.
