The Final Leg

Oblique Seville revealed that he has been dealing with a toe injury since high school which has prevented him from racing the 200m frequently over the past few years. Now in Grand Slam Track he has consistently been running the event and is slowly dropping his 200m best. What should we expect from Oblique in both the 200m and his 100m throughout the 2025 season?

Jamaica recently announced the athletes that will compete at the 2025 World Relays in Guangzhou China on May 10th-11th. The 4x100m pools include Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Shericka Jackson, Kishane Thompson, among others. Does this indicate that Jamaica is looking to rebuild their relay teams to hopefully get back on the podium in 2025?

Julien Alfred recently ran 21.88 in the 200m, which builds off the silver medal she won at the Olympic Games last year in Paris. This time was just 0.02 off her PB of 21.86 set last year and likely indicates she is ready to potentially challenge Gabby Thomas in the event.

A potential Julien vs Gabby rivaly has some parallels to the Veronica Campbell-Brown vs Allyson Felix rivalry we saw in the 2000s.
