This week is Mental Health Week and I thought that in today's episode we would talk about just that mental health, mental health as a business owner and is why it is so important to really keep a check on it.

It's okay to not be okay. In the past, there has been so much stigma and shame around mental health and what that means and the associations that come with that. But we know that nobody is immune to the struggles of mental health.

In this episode I am give 9 practical tips to help manage your mental health as a business owner to help keep your energy levels up, your spirits high and help you ride the ebbs and flows of being a woman in business. 

There is a lot of talk out there about knowing your numbers, but what does it actually mean? 

Most will tell you to focus on the revenue, focus on the profit but what if there is a metric which is even more important than that?

In this episode I talk about the importance of knowing your numbers and which of your financial metrics is most important and why!

So many women set up their businesses in the pursuit of financial freedom but get caught in the entrepreneurial trap and focus on vanity metrics that often take them further rather than closer to their goals.

When it comes to building wealth I hear so many money experts and guru’s telling you to cut this expense it’s boring, restrictive and promotes scarcity based thinking. It teaches us subconsciously to focus on lack and scarcity based thinking. The complete opposite of what is required to actually build wealth!

As a woman our business can be the greatest contributor of wealth and this is extremely important for women and here’s a few reasons why.

• 80% of women will go into retirement in poverty with 1 in 5 having noting saved
• 2 out of 3 women would have to sell the marital home upon a break up.
• As our parents moved into old age, 2/3’s of women end up being the primary carer
