In this episode, I share what I’m discovering in the first days of yoga teacher training - 11 hour days filled with movement, meditation, learning the ancient teachings, and deep self-inquiry.
I reflect on how trying something new can unlock powerful, unexpected growth. This isn't just about yoga poses or anatomy—it's about the beauty and challenge of self-discovery, connection, and finding your place, even when fear and self-doubt arise. It's about what happens beneath and beyond the physical practice. It's about what unfolds when we allow ourselves to be seen, when we challenge long-held stories, and when we meet ourselves with honesty, sometimes for the first time in years.
I talk about the unexpected emotions that surfaced, the assumptions we carry into new spaces, and what it means to show up with vulnerability. And it’s also about discovering that we are all far more alike than we realize—once we begin to set aside the masks shaped by a world that taught us to protect, to perform, or to hide. When those filters fall away, we begin to find ourselves in each other.
