The Folium CEO would like to remind listeners they can submit questions about the Folium this week via Fan Mail, whether you are entering the contest or not. We will try to answer as many as we can on Sunday the 11th. 

Our CEO does seem to have gone on at some length regarding the history of the organization and other sensitive matters. As Ms. Hazzard is the only one with the authority to override the CEO's actions, and she was last seen pedaling a rather beat-up old bicycle down a rather bumpy dirt road (see photo from Ms. Hazzard) on the island of St. Croix, wearing a white cotton sun dress and floppy straw hat while carrying a loaf of bread, cheese, water, and no electronic devices whatsoever, well, here you go.

Hello. We hope you are enjoying the contest. We received a correct answer that did not include an email address, so we have no way to contact that person.
Folium Fan Mail is only one-way – we can't text you back. That's probably a good thing, as Quel was ready to disqualify them with a message that can politely be described as, 'lacerating'. Ares managed to placate her by promising her the World's Largest Rubik's cube, a case of her favorite diet soda, and a highly experimental, sub-atomic pencil sharpener. So, if you want to be entered in to the contest, make sure your email address is included with your answer.

Welcome to the Folium Sock Contest. The prizes are $50 digital gift certificates to The Athletic Community, home of the famous PDX carpet sock (as worn by Cherie Hazzard!)

To enter:

• Solve the puzzle and text us your answer and email address
• To text, go to our homepage, select any episode and click the link that says 'Folium Fan Mail' (link should also work from most podcast apps)
• Entries must be sent by 9PM Pacific, Friday, January 9th
• Seven winners will be randomly selected from the correct entries
• Winners will be contacted by email
• Results will be published on Sunday the 11th

• At the end of each note, you'll now find a #letter
• Put them together (it's not going to rhyme!)
• Then send us the answer, the quicker the better

Quel added a bonus puzzle for informatics enthusiasts. If you solve it, add QUEL to your message and you'll be contacted for the answer. Get it right and you might be offered a job as her new assistant!

One more thing...
The Folium CEO graciously agreed to answer questions about The Folium. Submit your inquiries via Fan Mail by the 9th, and we will respond to as many as we can on the 11th.
