The Football Pubcast celebrated its Platinum Jubilee in style this week… with a few pints and some lively chat about all things football. It’s a packed show and as the sun came out one Pubcaster struggled to keep his cool, resulting in some very dirty looks from a near-by restaurant. Also making the show this week

  • Pubcast #69: Please Sir, can we have some Mawer
This week the show had a special visit from Jon Mawer, a young man who’s studying for a Business Management degree at Southampton Solent University. After recovering from the shock of a student actually getting a round of drinks in, the Pubcaster’s settled down to take part in a special focus group. The official remit was “To investigate supporter attitudes towards commercialisation in English professional football”. A normal service will resume in next weeks show… for now we’ll let you decide how closely we managed to stuck to this official premise

  • Pubcast #68: Blackpool Rocks (according to Missy the cat)
This week the Pubcaster’s braved the cold with an alfresco recording in the shadow of Canary Wharf. An early revelation from Stuart certainly put a cat among the pigeons, as he told us his pet sat down to watch Blackpool v Pompey on Saturday evening. A tail he even provided photo evidence of! There was hardly time to paws for thought in a packed show that includes…
