The Forgotten Heroes

Just like the phases of the moon were bringing back Moon Knight for part two! Like other Heroes Moon Knight has had a mantle throughout history with everything from Mesopotamian to Wild West. Doppelgängers, a Moon Knight war, failed sidekicks, and just about as much variation as there are personalities.

When people say Squad goals, it depends on the issue if you're talking about these guys. This episode of Forgotten Heroes, Zack and Chris break down the versions of the Squadron Supreme! There are plenty of grey superheroes out there, and some of them are personal favorites of your hosts. But a whole team toeing the leads to some interesting opinions in this episode. Betrayal, intrigue, government control and of course earth hopping. If you think your friends can be a bit extreme, think again!

No, your not hallucinating, but yes if you see him your definitely in for some type of karmic fate. This episode of Forgotten Heroes is brought to you by gods justice in the form of DC's Spectre! While his main role is pretty straightforward, there's surprising variation in throughout the multiverse on Spectre. The one constant is his cape, and the fact that if you sinned in some horrible way, you're gonna wish you were dealing with lady karma. Is it me, or is it ironic that a manifestation of gods justice comes from Gotham?

Don't confuse this episode with kindergarten art class cause this one's all about the rainbow and one of the most lore soaked groups in DC. Literally dripping with one of the most fashionable, and powerful artifacts in comic books: today we break down the rings of power! We all know the classic green based on will power, and others a little more well versed may know of red or black due to their infamy, but that's to the emotional electromagnetic spectrum there's a whole lot more. From aggressive compassion, to an entire corps based around one lantern, and the one who started it all.

We're stretching ourselves through time and space this week, as Zack and Chris talk about a newer fan-favorite, Kamala Khan. Not to be confused with Captain Marvel (or Mar-vell) Ms. Marvel has gone through a few changes over recent years. From her breakout hero discovery thanks to the Terrigen mists, Kamala's story is one of transformation no matter the universe. We'll explore dark universes with a civil war, a good one thank god, a more MCU-oriented origin, and an old favorite Kamala Kang! Make sure to limber yourself for this one!

Say some Hail Marys for Gotham because we're talking about Azrael on this weeks episode of Forgotten Heroes! While religion is not a new concept with superheroes, there are a few examples of devotion as high as his. We look at Jean-Paul Valley, the true and most well-known wearer of the mantle, as well as his new earth counterpart, an unarmed man, a rather literal interpretation of the angel of death, and finally a quick trip to the dark multiverse for yet another unhinged Batman. No matter what religion you are, you're gonna want some holy water after this one.

This week's episode comes got off the press from one of DC's longest-running heroes, Lois Lane! Usually put on the back burner due to the constant comparison to Superman, Lois takes the hot seat today with some surprising alternative versions. We take a trip to the much loved Dark Multiverse, have consciousnesses transferred to artificial bodies, stop by The World of The Knight yet again, and end on a Blue Lantern-themed soapbox. Make sure to turn on your audio recorders for this one cause it's all on the record!
