But after his first game in the BIG3, even he couldn’t believe the type of opportunity that was being presented.

Isaiah Austin might have the most interesting journey to being a professional athlete in all of sports. A 7-footer with handles like a guard, the Baylor star still made his dream a reality despite playing blind in one eye and being diagnosed with Marfan’s Syndrome days before he was about to be selected as a lottery pick in the NBA.

After five years overseas, Isaiah put away his passport for now and joined the BIG3 in 2021. The No. 1 overall pick is no longer a “what-if” player but instead a special talent and person we get to see every summer. 

We get into his journey to the league, reminisce on draft night, playing alongside Gilbert Arenas and Swaggy P, being named one of the first ever All-Stars and his career development in the NBA.

It seemed like a no-brainer that Quincy Miller would be one of the 22 players selected in this year’s BIG3 draft after showing a glimpse of what he could do with Bivouac last year. However, Miller went undrafted and now he’s out to prove the jury wrong.

Miller joined 3HM and is a big reason why they are 6-1 while at the top of the standings. We get into his career leading up to the BIG3, what he likes about playing in the league, appearing in the TBT and BIG3 in the same weekend, teaming up with Kevin Murphy and the mindset entering the playoffs.

Let’s hold ourselves accountable here. The name Sek Henry didn’t necessarily ring a bell to most of us when he was drafted at the end of the first round to Enemies. Maybe if you’re from the LA area, you remember the days when Henry was a top recruit coming out of high school.

But one thing that’s never changed about Sek is the ability to get buckets. During the 2022 BIG3 Draft that was the main point of emphasis brought up and he hasn’t disappointed when given the opportunity. With Henry on the team, Enemies has gotten off to their best start in BIG3 history – and that’s with Sek scratching the surface.

DaJuan Summers was inches away from a long career in the NBA but ultimately decided to move abroad and play overseas for the betterment of his family. While regretful at times, Summers now has an opportunity to capitalize playing stateside. 

Summers, who was the seventh pick in the 2022 BIG3 Draft, emerged in Week 2 dropping 18 points and 7 rebounds in Tri-State’s blowout win. This despite going against Michael Beasley and 3’s Company. Now at 1-1 they have another tall test ahead of them.
