  • The Search For Answers On COVID's Origins
Earlier this week, a group of Republicans sent a letter to the Director of the National Institute of Health, Dr. Francis Collins, demanding he release details about the COVID-19 data being deleted from the NIH database. Last week, it was reported the NIH deleted sequences of early coronavirus cases from databases at the request of Chinese researchers. Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) was one of the lawmakers who signed the letter and he joins today to explain what he hopes to gain from this demand. He also weighs in on why he thinks it's important for China to be transparent and accountable when it comes to the origins of the virus.
On June 24, a high-rise condo in Surfside, Florida partially collapsed, destroying nearly 55 apartment units while killing and trapping many residents below the rubble. Many are trying to get to the bottom of just how something like this could happen. Structural Engineer, consultant following 9/11 and co-author of 'Why Buildings Fall Down' Mattys Levy, joins to explain the leading theories on why the Surfside condo experienced structural failure, whether surrounding residents should be concerned, and to break down how rising sea levels can impact the integrity of coastline buildings.

  • Does Critical Race Theory Belong In The Classroom?
Parents across the U.S. are speaking out against critical race theory (CRT) being taught being as part of their school's curriculum for Kindergarten to 12th grade. Some Republican-led states are even passing legislation banning CRT from being taught in schools. The controversial topic is even causing debate on whether the U.S. military should be allowed to study it, but what exactly is critical race theory?  Former Political Director of Priorities USA and Democratic strategist Kristal Knight, and Wall Street Journal columnist and FOX News contributor Jason Riley explain what CRT is and they discuss whether it should be taught in the classroom.
Former President Trump and Texas Governor Greg Abbott are visiting the Southern border to survey the unfinished border wall and highlight the new administration's policy issues. Fox Business Network Correspondent Grady Trimble joins the Rundown from the border to explain the influx of migrant activity in the area former President Trump and Governor Abbott will be touring, growing concerns about drug smuggling, and the personal accounts of border control officials who say they're not getting enough help from the federal government.

  • Evening Edition: Iran Nuke Talks Intensify Following Airstrikes

FOX's Trey Yingst speaks with Richard Goldberg, Senior Adviser at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, who says the United States may be offering too much.

  • Election Fairness Or Politics?: DOJ Targets GOP Voting Law
The Department of Justice is suing the state of Georgia over its Republican-led voting rights bill. U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland on Friday said Georgia's election reform law was passed, "with the purpose of denying or abridging the right of Black Georgians to vote on account of their race or color." The provisions the DOJ will target include a ban on government entities from handing out unsolicited absentee ballots, fines on civic groups, places of worship and advocacy groups for distributing follow-up absentee ballots. One of the more notable changes in the Peach State's voting rights law is that it eliminates signature matching and requires an ID to vote if an individual requests and casts an absentee ballot. This has been criticized by Democrats because they say it makes it more difficult to vote by mail. However, the law also provides Georgia voters who don't have a photo ID with several different options to confirm their identity when requesting a ballot. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger joins to explain why the DOJ's claims against the voting rights bill are incorrect and why he is confident his state will succeed in court.

On Sunday June 27th, the U.S. military forces carried out airstrikes in Iraq and Syria, targeting Iran-backed militia groups responsible for the drone attacks on American military. According to the official statement from the Pentagon, President Biden authorized these strikes in order to deter any further attacks on U.S. personnel stationed in Iraq. Retired 4-Star General, Chairman of the Institute for the Study of War and Fox News Senior Strategic Analyst General Jack Keane joins to explain how the recent airstrike on Iranian-backed militias sends a clear message of deterrence to Iran, what kind of retaliation President Biden should expect and how rising tensions may impact the U.S. joining the Iran Nuclear Deal again.

  • FOX News Rundown Extra: Terrorists "Running Rampant"? The Growing Concerns Over America's Afghan Exit
America's troops continue to withdraw from Afghanistan.
But while the U.S. has been there for nearly two decades, there are concerns we're leaving too soon. The Taliban is reportedly taking over more parts of the country and is expected to seize more once America's exit is scheduled to be complete after September, 11th of this year.
Republican Florida Congressman Brian Mast was badly injured as an army staff sergeant in Afghanistan in 2010. He thinks the withdrawal is not being executed properly.
On the FOX News Rundown earlier this week, host Dave Anthony spoke to Rep. Mast about why he objects to President Biden's Afghanistan exit strategy and why he believes terrorists  may soon 'run rampant' around the country.
Rep. Mast also weighed in on the House's recent vote to repeal the 2002 war powers resolution that authorized the use of military force in Iraq. Something he also took issue with.
The conversation was too long and we could not include all of it in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with veteran and Florida Republican Rep. Brian Mast. He gives more of his take on Afghanistan and Iraq, but he also weighs in on President Biden's recent efforts to combat America's crime surge and more strictly enforce gun laws.

  • FOX News Rundown Extra: How To Solve America's Crime Surge And Save Our Cities
The death of George Floyd sparked protests across the country and a national conversation about criminal justice reform  and even defunding the police.
Since then, crime has risen further and cities are torn between trying to curb violence in their streets while answering the call for police reform.
Bill Bratton was the top cop in both New York and Los Angeles, and is credited with helping both cities tackle their serious crime epidemics.
On the FOX NEWS Rundown this week, host Jessica Rosenthal spoke to former police commissioner Bratton about his career's successes and how he would address both the crime and social issues we have seen grow over the past year.
Bratton explains why many of the obstacles cops face are the same now as they were decades ago. However, he also explains how the death of George Floyd, new technology and increased social awareness has changed policing forever.
The conversation was too long and we could not include all of it in our original segment. On the FOX News Rundown Extra, you will hear our entire conversation with former Los Angeles, Boston and New York police commissioner Bill Bratton. He gives more of his take on gun control, community policing and President Biden's recent announced strategy to tackle the current national crime surge.
