  • Chauvin's Fate & the Future of Policing
    Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is set to be sentenced today for the murder of George Floyd. Chauvin was found guilty in April for second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The death of George Floyd last summer sparked protests across the U.S. demanding police reform and ending systemic racism. The debate continues to shift today on how we reform police departments across the country as crime in major cities continues to rise. Bill Bratton is a former police commissioner of Boston, New York and Los Angeles and author of a new book "The Profession." He joins today and weighs in on the debate about the future of policing.
    On Monday June 21st, the Supreme Court passed down a unanimous decision, ruling that the NCAA cannot limit the amount of education-related monetary benefits colleges could offer recruited athletes. As of right now student athletes cannot be paid. However in his decision, Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote he has serious questions about NCAA restrictions on player compensation and NCAA President Mark Emmert has implored schools to pass reforms to allow student athletes to make money off their name and image. Founder of Outkick.com and Fox News Sports Contributor Clay Travis joins to explain what this court case means for the future of college sports, the issues that could arise from universities compensating student athletes and he addresses the NFL's Carl Nassib news and MLB's sticky substance crackdown.

  • President Biden's Anti-Crime, Afghan Policies Raise Concern
    President Biden has unveiled his plan to address the rise in violent crime across the U.S. Some points he discussed Wednesday included arresting rogue firearms dealers, helping  former prisoners reenter society and expand employment opportunities for young people. Former businessman Glenn Youngkin is running for Governor of Virginia as the GOP nominee. Youngkin joins today's "Rundown" to weigh in on crime, why it's not a Republican or Democrat issue but a "community safety issue" and he explains why investing in law enforcement is a requirement.
    President Biden is set to meet with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani this week amid increased violence in the region following the planned removal of U.S. troops. While the President has already begun removing forces from Afghanistan, there is cause for concern as Taliban fighters continue to take control of key districts in Afghanistan following the U.S. troop removal from the region. Congressman Brian Mast (R-FL) and Afghanistan war veteran joins to discuss the right way the U.S. should be executing its troops removal from Afghanistan, the importance of ensuring the Taliban is not emboldened by the move and he explains why he believes there must be a replacement for the 2002 Authorization of Use of Military Force Against Iraq before repealing it completely.

    Hong Kong's leader, Carrie Lam, spoke Tuesday about a weekend raid on the Apple Daily newsroom that ended in multiple arrests of journalists saying it was not an attack on press freedom.
