The Freak Show

Thanks Biden!

This week, we’re talking a bit about the MCU animated short series “I Am Groot” as well as our excitement for “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” We also talk about lots of GOP madness, including more reactions to the Trump raid, Boebert’s husband causing a local ruckus, Dr. Oz & crudités, Liz Cheney’s primary loss, book bans, & the Banana Republic.

It’s season 3!

We’re back from break with a new season! Join your favorite hosts as we tell y’all about a recent trip we took. We’ve also finished watching the sitcom Kim’s Convenience, so we talk about that.

Later, we talk for a segment about what we know about FBI Trump raid, including perceived fallout & reactions from his supporters. Other topics include soap operas, & the line at Chick-Fil-A,

Shoutout to the Everyman Podcast Show, host Jon Everyman, & guest Paul Julmeus for featuring “BUCKET” by Cyrex on a recent episode!

Absolute magic…

This is our Ms. Marvel episode! We’ve truly enjoyed the season & we take this time to do some recaps & reactions, as well as just talk about how we feel about the show as a whole. We lucked out by getting to complete the season before completing this episode, but as such, of course, SPOILERS AHEAD!

…they could be a band…

This week, we spend the episode discussing the biggest Supreme Court decisions handed down at the end of the term, after which Justice Breyer stepped down, & Justice Jackson joined the bench. These decisions were quite a mixed bag, but we spend much of the later discussion on Dobbs vs Jackson (no relation), the decision in which the court overturned Roe vs Wade as well as Planned Parenthood vs Casey, ending almost 50 years of precedent. We react & discuss the impact on Americans.

Is that 6 strikes…?

We’re recording straight from Anchor! After the technical difficulties that delayed the last episode, we’re trying this new method out! Thanks for bearing with us!

This week, we talk about the family-friendly drag show in Dallas, & the fact that the right-wing just can’t resist making it seem controversial. We also discuss Lauren Boebert’s recent accusations.

We start our discussion on the hyper-conservative majority in SCOTUS exerting its will with several recent decisions, including a recent one based on a Maine case involving state funding being used for attendance to religious private schools. Later, we also start our discussion on the January 6th hearings & react to some testimonies & findings.

Other topics include a new podcast that Super Elsy is checking out & some conspiracy theories, plus the Beavis & Butthead of Congress.

What a time…

After a tough couple weeks, we got another Marvel episode for y’all! We recently re-watched Black Panther & Avengers: Infinity War, & we spend the episode talking about things we like, things we love, & new things we notice that made us love these movies even more, including their place in the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe!

Other topics include Batman (because why not?) & a brief discussion on mental health.

Thoughts & prayers…

This is a heavy one. This week’s episode is about the shootings in Buffalo & Uvalde, as well as the issue of mass shootings in America. We discuss the issue in length & response from people & politicians.

Other topics include us completing Half & Half, Avatar: the Last Airbender, & whether Avatar Aang, Caillou, & Mr. Clean are all variants of each other.

Bring the chips!

This week, we’re having lots of fun! We spend the entire episode immersed in the MCU. We talk about our thoughts on Moon Knight, then dive into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Heavy spoilers & speculation ahead, so make sure you’ve watched before enjoying our guac!

But let’s hear yours…

After a week off, we’re bringing it to y’all! We talk about the primary elections, including big wins for progressives, GOP infighting, & a big loss for MAGA! Plus, we discuss DeSantis’s new nonsense, Rick Scott’s new “plan,” & beef between the QAnon congresswomen Greene & Boebert.

Other topics include the “all of the above” option, Rick Perry not being “fetch”, Justice Samuel Alito continuing to be the worst, & an impression.

Not so supreme after all…

This week, we continue coverage on the Moon Knight series! What’s going on? Who’s going on? A LOT! Spoilers & tangents ahead! A big tangent is the Twilight movies & mixing up names.

A majority opinion draft written by Justice Samuel Alito has leaked. This draft indicates the intent of the right-wing SCOTUS supermajority to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would end 50 years of precedent & harshly curtail women’s rights in America. We react to this atrocity, & to the GOP’s focus on the leak & other such nonsense.

Other topics include Fuller House, the haircut saga, & Ron Watkins’s dismal debate performance.
