Her reelection prospects are being challenged due to her supposed role in the January 6th Insurrection.

Pretenders, Assemble!

After a week off, we had to catch up with y’all! We start with talking about Avengers: Age of Ultron, continuing our Avengers rewatch. We talk about what we love, what we noticed, & make comparisons to the 1st movie.

After that, we’re on the road! DeSantis’s anti-LGBTQIA bill comes under even more scrutiny with revelations that he manipulated a story to use as propaganda (big surprise!). We discuss what is known about the actual events. But he’s also collaborating with the Van Zant brothers for a Florida song!

Later, we talk about Alex Walker, the challenger to Lauren Boebert in Congress, & his ads. Also, Marjorie Greene is facing a court battle that may remove her from the ballot for good. Other topics include the wait for a table, a medical rebrand, Twitter takeover, & IHOP vs Denny’s.

It’s all backwards…

This week, we talk about projection at its finest. The Tennessee Republicans are pushing an especially weird bill through the legislature, even for their standards. Also, Sarah Palin is back! But this time, she’s running for the U.S. House, seeking to represent Alaska’s at-large district. Plus, Lauren Boebert wants to make an age requirement for LGBTQIA+ people to come out. Later, the GOP can’t define “woman” after weeks of expecting now-Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson to define it. We react to that & more nonsense in this episode!

This week, we’re Avenging! We just did a rewatch of the first Avengers movie, & we just had to talk about it! Good thing we have a podcast. We gush about it & give a little catch-up to what’s here & what’s coming for the MCU.

We have a discussion the Academy Awards altercation between Chris Rock & Will Smith, & some reactions. Also, the Florida GOP has passed what they don’t want referred to ass (but totally is) the “Don’t Say Gay” Bill. Later, a Waukesha market & gas station is making it’s gasoline… too affordable? This week, we talk about some shows we’ve been watching. We recently completed Netflix’s “The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window” & we discuss the miniseries & some associated ScreenRant lists (BEWARE of spoilers), We also touch on “Inventing Anna”, a true story about con-artist Anna Sorokin, plus UPN’s “Half & Half.”

The right wing is still at it! The Idaho House has passed House Bill 666 (what?) which turns this train of right-wing cancel culture onto librarians. Plus, Florida has pass the oft-called “Don’t Say Gay” Bill.

Later, we discuss some handy school supplies, especially Super Elsy’s favorite notebook. Other topics include the origin of the phrase “honky dory” & progressive primary victories.

We had to take last week off, but we got a long episode this week! We open with discussion of the trucker convoy in Ottawa, & coverage of it by Jordan Klepper & Walter Masterson. Also, Florida is at it again with an anti-LGBTQIA bill aimed at suppressing such conversations in schools & outing students to their parents, plus a pro-LGBTQIA response.

CPAC & AFPAC have happened, & the mayonnaise is strong (after all, that’s their secret sauce according to the founder of the latter). We talk about some of the speakers, including elected officials & the usual oddballs.

Later, we discuss the Russian invasion of Ukraine, & the response from the international community, as well as backlash economically. Other topics include rockers, ERCOT price-gouging Texans during the ice storm crisis, & covert late night legislative sessions in Florida.
