After a few days of break due to a 5-day trip to Okinawa, I was back in the office this morning and spent most of my time in the Showroom, also called the sample room, where I was dealing with next year collection's samples. This trip made me realize that I should have made some more efforts to create new connections during the flights, as it could be a great way to expand my network in Japan.

I'm not a pro designer but I have drastically improved over the years, as I kept creating designs for my various side-projects (websites, business cards, products etc...). Today, while creating a new cover picture for this podcast, I realized that I was almost always following the same steps, and decided to share them with you ... Enjoy!

To find internship offers, I really recommend an agency called "Lightened" as I've worked with them and know that they are a legit and very helpful startup (and free!), but I've also found 2 internships on Craigslist Tokyo.

Reading the book "The Ultimate Question 2.0" by Fred Reichheld, I really loved the concept of bad vs good profit. It is true that some companies earn money from customers that don't really like the brand but are forced and/or tricked into paying. On the balance sheet and on the short term, it might work but it is defintiely not a sustainable strategy and - just like Gary Vaynerchuck loves to say - internet is making easier and easier for people to expose you and your brand, if your customer service sucks.

Not much done during my internship at Adidas today, as nobody had tasks for me. So, instead, I spent the whole day learning about various subjects, and a topic about goals caught my attention. This topic, that was covered by Tim Ferriss, Derek Sivers & Aytekin Tank, is about whether you should share your goals or not. They all seem to advise you not to, although I still do believe it might be good in some cases - just like it helps me running every morning ...

Big companies usually have so many files that you can get lost in it pretty easily. My recommendation is that, wherever you are working, you should master the ability to organize what you create, as if someone would look at it 6 months later, without your help.
