We welcome the dynamic Brigitte Gabriel to the program this week. Brigitte is a New York Times best-selling author and leading terrorism expert. She founded ACT! for America, the nation’s largest national security grassroots organization. We’ll hear about her new book Rise: In Defense of Judeo-Christian Values and Freedom and what she sees as freedom’s biggest threat. She and Chris will talk about what you can do to preserve freedom. We will also hear news surrounding Israel and a special Hanukkah story on Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Israel's military is unique in many ways. It is a civilian army, which means men and women are required to serve their country through military service right out of high school. Inside their military, they also have a program where Jewish people from all over the world can come and serve in the military. These men and women are referred to as “Lone Soldiers.” Today we welcome Michael Domb and Joshua Flaster from the Lone Soldier Center. We'll learn how this center began, what its purpose is, and how you can get involved. Also you’ll hear news surrounding Israel and end our program with Apples of Gold.

We are kicking off this Christmas season with an in-depth look at our most recent issue of Israel My Glory magazine that is all about “When God Became Man.” Steve Herzig stops by to talk about his article, “O Jewish Town of Bethlehem” where we’ll hear about the importance of this little town and the state it’s in today. Then Chris will talk about the perfect timing of Jesus coming to earth and how believers can have peace with God’s timing, even if it doesn’t make sense.

This program is a rebroadcast from July 15, 2017. We’re finishing up our two-part series on the Pictures of Christ from the Psalms. Chris takes us to Psalm 72 and shows us Jesus’ authority as well as His kindness, mercy and grace. We welcome back Dr. Charles Dyer, author of “30 Days in the Land of the Psalms.” He and Chris discuss the popular Psalm 122. Dr. Dyer unpacks the chapter by explaining its original context. Then, Apples of Gold the dramatic reading of holocaust survivor and Friends of Israel worker, Zvi Kalisher.

This program is a rebroadcast from July 8, 2017. We begin a new two-part series on the Pictures of Christ from the Psalms this week. Chris takes us to Psalm 2 and explains how the Sonship of Jesus is uniquely tied to the Kingship of Jesus. Then the author of our featured book “30 Days in the Land of the Psalms”, Dr. Charles Dyer is with us. He’ll explain how understanding the context of where the Psalms took place opens changes how we read and understand the passages. Finishing up our program we’ll hear Apples of Gold, the dramatic reading of holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Only a few weeks ago we were shocked and saddened by the news of the deadly act of anti-Semitism at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA. This week we welcome our special guest, Zak Meiri, Deputy Director of the Community Security Service. Zak will explain how this special organization is helping the Jewish community protect themselves at their places of worship. We are thankful we could have Zak on the program and let him know that there are Christians all over the world that love and support the Jewish people and are praying with them for peace.

This week we are highlighting a ministry that is near and dear to us at The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, it’s the radio program! Every week The Friends of Israel Today radio program can be heard on over 500 stations in the United States and Canada and as a podcast around the world! Chris recently returned from Israel where he attended “The Christian Media Summit” hosted by Israel’s Government Press Office. He will share some priceless words to you, our listeners from Israeli leaders. It’s a message you will want to hear—and trust us—you’ll be encouraged!

We’re finishing up our series this week on 2 Peter. This book is all about how we are living our lives in light of Jesus’s return. But some believers may become weary waiting on His return. In 2 Peter 3 we learn there is a reason Jesus has not yet returned. And as usual, the answer shows us that it’s bigger than us! We will also take a look at news surrounding Israel and hear Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

We’re continuing our series this week on 2 Peter. Last week we learned about Peter’s encouragement to believers to stay in and know God’s Word. This week, Peter seems to shift a bit into “WARNING!” mode—and it’s for good reason! Peter cautions believers to guard against false teachers that are among us. How do we guard ourselves? By knowing God’s Word! (Seeing a pattern yet?) This is a timely message for all of us to hear. We will also take a look at news surrounding Israel and hear Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

Does Jesus expect us to live happy lives? Although we may hear that from some Christian leaders, Jesus never promised His followers happiness. In fact, He told his disciples that they will be hated because of Him. This week we are starting a three part series on the book of 2 Peter. This book is about how Christians can live a life that is honoring to God in a world that is very broken. We’ll also hear some news surrounding Israel and then Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.
