We welcome back to the program one last time, Dr. Mike Stallard the International Ministries Director here at The Friends of Israel. We’re finishing our series on Replacement Theology. There’s a divide in the Christian world when it comes to Israel and we are peeling back the layers and taking a look. Here in our final week we’ll look at how Replacement Theology has affected history. Then Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

We welcome back to the program Dr. Mike Stallard, International Ministries Director here at The Friends of Israel. We’re continuing our series on Replacement Theology. There’s a divide in the Christian world when it comes to Israel and we are peeling back the layers and taking a look. This week we’ll focus on how different theologies of thought interpret the Scriptures. It’s all about where you start! Then we’ll hear Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Have you ever wondered why one pastor will talk about a literal future for the Jewish people and another never mentions it? There’s differences in the Christian world when it comes to Israel and we are peeling back the layers and taking a look at what the term “Replacement Theology” means and learning when this type of thinking began. Then Chris will explain how the idea of Israel having a future home and hope was never popular in church history but was always present. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

God is greater than life! Can you honestly say that phrase? It’s easy to say He is greater than our job, our circumstances, or even our pain. But can we say that God is greater than our life or the lives of those we love? This week Chris shares the story of Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron. Not taking their duties seriously, these men suffer a tragic end. Learn how Aaron responds to God’s action towards his sons. In our AskFOI segment, Chris will answer the question, How did Abraham get saved? We’ll end our show with the dramatic reading of Holocaust survivor and believer in Jesus, Zvi Kalisher, with Apples of Gold.

This week we’re concluding our two-part series in the minor prophet book of Haggai. Last week we learned about how the Jewish people slowly allowed their priorities to shift from rebuilding the Temple to building up their homes and lives. This week Chris will show us how their expectations were left unmet as they rebuilt the Temple. The Temple wasn’t as beautiful as Solomon’s Temple, but God once again encourages them to keep going. It’s a valuable lesson for all of us. Also on the program: Apples of Gold and news surrounding Israel.

This week we open the pages of a minor prophet many do not read often, Haggai. We will learn how the Jewish people were humbled by their exile and hopeful of their return. When the Jewish people came back to their land they set to rebuild it but as Chris will show us, their priorities shifted as the years passed. God deals with the Jewish people through Haggai and we’ll see its timely lesson for us as believers today. Also on the program: Apples of Gold and news surrounding Israel.

Over 3,000 years ago King David declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel. This week Chris will take us to Deuteronomy 12 and Psalm 87 where we’ll learn God was preparing the Jewish people for a time when God would dwell with them and they could worship Him in a place of His choosing—Jerusalem! Then we’ll learn about a controversial sermon by a popular evangelical pastor and why his idea to “unhitch” the Old and New Testament from one another is a bad idea. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

Did you know that over 78% of Americans have a social media account? What does this mean for Christians and Israel? We’ll go in-depth this week into our most recent issue of Israel My Glory magazine looking at social media and Israel. We welcome our own media content manager and co-writer of the program, Sarah Fern, to talk all things social media. Chris will also speak with Pastor David Lemming from Lewis Memorial Baptist Church about how social media has benefited him in his ministry.

Did you know that when we become believers in Jesus we are given all we need to live righteous and holy lives? This week Chris talks about the ministry of the Holy Spirit. As believers, the Holy Spirit is here to supply us with all the proper tools to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus. Be encouraged this week as you rely fully on all the Holy Spirit has supplied you with! We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

There’s a lot happening in Israel right now. If you read or watch the news you’ve seen the U.S. embassy move, the riots, and the controversy over the Iran deal. Chris unpacks all that is happening in Israel and the Middle East in our first segment. Then we shift to an important topic for us as believers in Jesus: the church and its roots. We’re not talking about how your local church began but about the universal church. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.
