Have you ever heard that the modern state of Israel was founded out of the Holocaust? It is true that it was founded soon after the Holocaust, but the making of a modern Jewish state was being planned long before Hitler was even a thought! Chris unpacks this often misunderstood concept and shows how God was at work bringing His Chosen People back to their ancient homeland. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

Near the end of Jesus’s ministry here on earth, His disciples asked him, “Tell us, when will these things happen and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?” Chris opens the often misunderstood passage in Matthew 24—25 known as the Olivet Discourse and shows what Jesus’ Second return will look like. Then we welcome Jim Showers, our executive director to the program. Jim will talk about our national prophecy conference this year and how you can join us!

All year, Israel is celebrating 70 years of independence! This modern miracle—the rebirth of Israel—did not happen by chance. God was working in the hearts of people all over the world years before May 14, 1948. This week we’ll learn about the Father of Modern Zionism, Theodor Herzl, and an unlikely friend that helped him see his desire for an independent Jewish state was in fact biblical! We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

We take a deeper look into Jewish life this week as we continue the study on the diaspora, the scattering of the Jewish people all around the world beyond the land of Israel. We’ll see why fence laws were made by Jewish leaders and how Jesus responded to these man made laws. Then we’ll learn about a Jewish rabbi in the 13th century that made Jewish life easier for those living among the Gentiles. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

If you asked an Israeli where their family is from, many would answer Europe and the United States. But did you know that there are also Jewish people living in Botswana, Uruguay, and even Japan? This week Chris will explain the diaspora, the scattering of the Jewish people all around the world beyond Israel. He’ll answer the questions - why has God allowed this dispersion?..and what is God doing in the midst of it? We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

“There is no panic in Heaven, only plans.” This quote by Corrie ten Boom sets a tone for where our focus should be as believers. But many times we tend to worry about things around us. Did you know worry has a negative effect on us physically, emotionally, and spiritually? Chris will show us examples in Scripture of how we should and should not respond to hardships in our lives. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Happy Easter everyone! Did you know that this year, Passover and Easter coincide? We love when that happens. We’ll learn this week about the blood of the perfect, spotless, unblemished lamb God required for Passover and how this carries over to the New Testament with the death and resurrection of Jesus our Messiah. “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.” We’ll end our program with a special Passover story in Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

If you have studied history, you know that some words 100 years ago do not mean the same today. We are digging into our most recent issue of Israel My Glory magazine this week, “Mastering the Art of Redefinition.” Chris sits down with Editor in Chief, Lorna Simcox to discuss what words in Christianity are changing and how you can be aware. We end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

American Author Mark Twain called the land of Israel in 1867 a “desolate country.” This week we talk with CEO Russell Robinson from the Jewish National Fund. Just wait until you hear all that is going on in Israel! That desolate country has been overtaken with LIFE! You will be encouraged hearing how God is working through this organization. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor, Zvi Kalisher.

There are several groups throughout the world who lay claim to the city of Jerusalem. But long before even King David claimed Jerusalem the capital of Israel, God was hinting to the importance of this historical city. Chris takes us to Genesis 14 where Abraham receives a blessing from a mysterious character in the Bible: Melchizedek, the King of Salem. We’ll learn about the connection this king and priest had with Jerusalem, the Jewish people, and Jesus!
