Mar/Apr 2018 IMG In Depth: Lorna Simcox Interview by Friends of Israel

As we approach the 70th anniversary of Israel’s independence, we learn that the road to making Israel a nation again was not an easy one, but God used many people—both Jewish and Gentile—to bring the Jewish people home. This week we’ll learn about British army captain Orde Wingate. You’ll be amazed how God moved in this man! We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

Corruption of power is everywhere. It has been a problem since the beginning of time! This week we’re in Matthew 21:12-13 where we’ll find out what God thinks of corruption. When Jesus entered the temple and saw corruption, He literally flipped tables! You might be surprised to know that selling in the temple was not the problem, listen and find out what was. And don’t miss Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor and Friends of Israel worker, Zvi Kalisher.

Have you ever made an important announcement? The intent of an announcement is to be heard. Jesus made an announcement when He was here on Earth—and He was definitely heard! This week Chris will take us to Luke 4 where Jesus was in His hometown of Nazareth and announced in the synagogue that He was the Messiah. We’ll then end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor and Friends of Israel worker, Zvi Kalisher.

If you have been a part of the evangelical church long enough, you might have noticed that the Rapture of the church is not taught nearly as much as it was 20 and 30 years ago. This week we are taking a closer look into our most recent issue of Israel My Glory magazine that asks the question, “Whatever happened to the Rapture?” We’ll hear from The Friends of Israel’s David Levy who shares what the Rapture is. Then, Chris will help us see why the Rapture is not a popular doctrine in today’s churches.

Hidden entrances to underground rooms. Coworkers living doubles lives. Transporting weapons right under the enemy’s nose. This sounds like something right out of the movies but it’s not! It actually happened in Israel during its War of Independence. This week Chris has as his guest Emmy award-winning producer Laurel Fairworth. Laurel will tell the untold story of the Ayalon Munitions Factory and how a group of teenagers changed the course of history! We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Holocaust survivor Zvi Kalisher.

We are in the final week of our six-part series entitled Eden to Eden. Do you have the wrong idea of what heaven will be like? Chris will share how God’s pursuit to be with us begins at the Garden of Eden with the tree of life and ends with the tree of life in the New Jerusalem. We hope you have been blessed by this series as we have looked at the grand story of the BIble. Chris will then explain why the Palestinian leadership keeps missing the opportunity for peace. We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Zvi Kalisher.

We’re back in our series Eden to Eden, looking at the grand story of the Bible. This week, Chris shows us how God has pursued us even in our sin. Our holy and blameless God made a way to dwell among Israel through sacrifices in the Tabernacle and the Temple. And through the sacrifice Jesus made on the cross, the rest of the world is able to dwell with Him! Then we’ll see what happens when the deadly regime in Iran tries to squash the Gospel. Spoiler Alert: it does the complete opposite! We’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Zvi Kalisher.

It was the decision heard around the world. On December 6, 2017 President Donald Trump made good on his promise and announced the United States would begin the process of moving their Embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel’s capital, Jerusalem. We welcome back Josh Reinstein, Director of the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus and President of the Israel Allies Foundation. Then we’ll end our program with Apples of Gold, a dramatic reading from the life of Zvi Kalisher.
