Today's guest-packed show covered a number of topics, including resorts and destinations that are trying to lure families by offering distance learning opportunities (guest Laura Begley Bloom of Forbes.com discussed this topic); air travel in the time of Covid 19 (with Jason Cochran, Editor in Chief of Frommers.com); "regenerative travel" (with Elaine Glusac of the New York Times) and new options for finding campsites (with Melanie Kaplan, who wrote a piece on this topic for the Washington Post). Enjoy!
The Frommer’s Travel Show For Sunday, September 13th, 2020, Hour2
Today's show dealt with travel to New York City (a discussion by the Frommers), travel etiquette in this pandemic with Thomas Farley (AKA Mister Manners) and a discussion of cairns on hiking trails with Sunny Fitzgerald.
Rosemary McClure, author of Frommer's Yosemite and Neighboring Parks, started the show off today, talking about nature vacations in California. Then Frommers.com Editor-in-Chief Jason Cochran was on to chat about what one needs to know about travel insurance during these pandemic times. Chris Elliott was up next with info on consumer travel issues, and Mel Allen of Yankee Magazine discussed what to expect of fall foliage season in New England this year. The Frommers also discussed a contest they're participating in: the winner could get a vacation in the Napa Valley, redeemable anytime in the next two years.
