My guest Jay Cookingham, shares his story of suffering emotional, verbal, physical and sexual abuse as a boy from his father. This happened for 10 years between the ages of 7 - 17.  Jay gave his life to Jesus at the age of 7, and this is the same time when the abuse became worse. When he was 17, he was about to commit suicide alone in a forest, when he heard the voice of God say "Don't".   At the age of 19, the Lord supernaturally helped Jay show kindness and forgiveness to his Dad.  Jay is now a pastor, author, conference speaker and father of seven. Jay also talks about the passing of his wife of 37 years back in December 2019.  Jay recognizes and preaches the goodness of God, even when life is at its worst.  You will be encouraged by todays episode. My guest and good friend Tim Loveday, joins me to share his story of losing his wife of 20 years to a difficult battle with cancer.  He explains how his late wife Sherri, was the rock of the family during her illness, and inspired he and their four children to remain trusting in the Lord, despite the dark season they were in.  Her legacy has been left behind for Tim and his family and "God's Story" from their lives has continued to be shared for the encouragement of many people.  God is faithfully restoring Tim and his family, and has blessed Tim with a godly woman who will now become his wife in 3 weeks time.
