In this shorter episode, Kristall and I recap his busy 2022 summer.

We talk about the Champions league game in Malmo, being sent off for inciting a crowd, being bought by Rosenborg, and adjusting to becoming a full-time footballer in Norway.

Kristall also talks about how he believed this step was just the next progression in his career, something that he had been working towards his whole life. He then offers some advice on how he dealt with the pressures and expectations that came with his move to Rosenborg.

Danielle talks about her first contract and how the "typical" contract in Iceland looks. We talk about taking a step up a league in Iceland.

We then learn Danielle has nearly doubled her salary and absolutely slashed her spending with a move to Turkey. I personally know it is difficult to live in Iceland on less than ~$700, so to learn how little Danielle is spending in Turkey is absolutely incredible!

Danielle then offers a little advice to aspiring footballers and "lower earners" who are looking at the prospect of going a few months without a payday.

After a successful 4-year career in the SEC at U of Tennessee, Danielle took a full 2 years off from competitive football before realizing her dream of playing professionally abroad.

She had always dreamt of becoming a pro, but the path wasn't clear, until she got a cold call from an agent she had never spoken to before.

She then jumped on the opportunity for a first contract in Iceland, only 3 weeks after learning about it. After a year in the 2nd tier, Danielle turned her sights to the top tier in Iceland. With another successful year in Iceland, Danielle learned about an opportunity in Turkey; where she now plays.

Cam talks us through how he was able to afford 12 months of trials and travels without a job or a contract. We learn how he managed his money before contracts, as well as during contracts where he was necessarily a 'high earner'.

We discuss resources and facilities in the different countries he has played in, as well as each contract.

Cam also talks about his side hustle and how he spent his down time being productive in order to continue pursuing his passion for football. I hope you enjoy this one!

Cameron spent 12 months after college chasing his dream of a professional contract without success. He spent months going to countless pro combines, open tryouts, international trials, and even went as far as selling himself as a player in cold-call emails.

Eventually Cam landed his first contract in New Zealand he thought the toughest part was behind him, not knowing Covid was on the horizon. Cam then proceeded to spend the whole 2020 year out of contract, only landing his next club in early 2021.

Even after having signed multiple contracts, Cam's challenges continued. At the start of 2022 Cam suffered an auto-immune attack that caused him to partially lose his vision in one eye. Through all of this, Cam still continues to play the sport he loves today in Sweden!
