Today I'm joined by Dennis Welch of the Endurance Project to talk about the Spartan Games. Dennis and I talk about the events, the athletes, the future of the Spartan Games, and we give our predictions of the top 5 male and female finishers. The Spartan Games looked like an incredible event, so today's episode was loaded with great content that you don't want to miss!

The Spartan Games is an invite-only competition of physical and mental toughness, over the course of five days. Twenty-four of some of the fittest athletes in the world will compete for a share of $100,000 on a mountain in Vermont. The full competition will be released in a YouTube series ‘this Winter’.

On today's podcast I had the opportunity to speak with 4 council members of the Fitness Racing Federation. The Fitness Racing Federation (FRFUK) is the national governing body for competitive functional fitness in the United Kingdom. Recently, the FRFUK has added dozens of affiliated facilities (gyms), designed a training pathway for functional fitness coaches, and much more. Learn why these volunteers are so passionate about these non-profit federations like the FRFUK, and why other federations across the world are joining the International Functional Fitness Federation (iF3).

On today's podcast I had the honor of speaking with Lieutenant Colonel Tony Kurz. In addition to his full time duties in the Armyu, LTC Kurz also represents the US Army Warrior Fitness Team. Most recently, LTC Kurz finished 2nd in the Masters Fitness Collective Championship. LTC Kurz also competed as a masters athlete in the 2019 CrossFit Games. 

 

Today we talk about what the US Army Warrior Fitness Team is, the fantastic event the Masters Fitness Collective put on, the cancellation of the 2020 CF Games for masters, and what 2021 might look like. Let's jump right in!
