The Gaffer Tapes: Fantasy Football Comedy Podcast

It’s deadline day and Tom and Craig are ploughing on in the absence of Ash, while he spreads the good word of #FPL in America. They try to talk logical football and discuss the top signing from the transfer window. There’s a couple of game weeks worth of tweets to get through and a few wanders off piste without Ash to get them back on track.

There’s a change in the line up this week as Taylor Kern steps in for Tom Holmes but there’s the same trusty features as The Gaffers cover what went wrong in game week 20, read the best of your tweets and end with some tenuous trivia. They discuss whether any value can be found in relegation battles and make a heartfelt apology about their criticism of Jermain Defoe.

The Gaffer Tapes is back for the first pod of 2016! With the transfer window open and wildcard season upon us there’s plenty to talk about at The Gaffer Tapes HQ. Despite that Tom, Ash & Craig manage to fit in a healthy amount of chat about sausages and The Spice Girls, as well as plenty of tips, tweets and transfer talk. The Gaffer Tapes is back for a Christmas Special of the nation’s favourite Fantasy Football podcast. We talk strikers and if there’s any value outside Ighalo, Vardy & Lukaku, we answer your questions with Chelsea being the topic of conversation and Tom and Craig debate the existence of a third East 17 album. Ash brings back an Emoji classic quiz and Craig may or not lose his sh*t. Bonus feature: World’s greatest Bread Sauce recipe.

The Gaffer Tapes is back for a game week where Mahrez bagged a hat trick, Lukaku got his fifth on the bounce and Jamie Vardy took a week off. Luckily, Tom, Ash & Craig didn’t and they answer your questions from this week’s FPL. There’s a couple of betting tips, an apology to Canada and Ash’s latest attempt at a quiz in which Craig and Tom take on the internet.

Tom, Ash & Craig talk a surprising amount of football, FPL and analysis, with chat about KDB, Watford’s strike force and the risk of keeping Aguero. Not to worry though, Tom soon chats sandwiches and Ash gives us a quiz you’re almost certain to give up on.

The guys are back with a bang and waste no time in discussing the big topics like Wilson from Home Improvements and how to murder game birds. They answer your tweets and questions and deal with celebrity fans. Whatever.

The Gaffers are back after their break and talk over the last couple of weeks of FPL. Tom contemplates his retirement from fantasy football, while Craig and Ash discuss what they’ve done to move themselves up the table. They start a twitter beef and have a Football Manager themed quiz in time for the release of the new game. One Problem. Tom’s never played it as it’s ‘only for boffins’.

After yet another win for the Hammers the Gaffers do a 15 hour Slaven Bilic retrospective. From his dreams of being a rock and roll star to taking West Ham into the Champions league. We have several in depth interviews with his High School teachers in Croatia. Followed by Talks with his parents and backroom staff all set to a classical operatic score. To maintain the artistic integrity of the show we present the whole thing in his native Croatian. 

The Gaffers are back together after another International Break to discuss City’s scoring streak, Klopp’s boring start and Bob Marley in midfield for Newcastle. They lay their neck on the line with some tips for the next game week and this week’s quiz manages to include wrestling, big cats and Gordon Strachan. Craig sadly can’t finish the podcast due to medical reasons.
