But did you know the screenwriter, Kevin Williamson, started writing it branching from his inspiration while watching a news program about a man who was terrorizing Gainesville? Thus beginning the best (in Thena's opinion) scary movie series, but also sadly, a real case that baffled Florida in the 1990s.
