Cryptic Soup Pod

Welcome to Cryptic Soup, your after-dark podcast. In this week's episode, join Thena and Kylee to discuss the well known case of “The Dyatlov Pass Incident”. Nine hikers went out into the Ural Mountains, attempting a level 3 hike, hoping to return home in about 16 days, only none made it back. There have been over 75 theories about what happened to maim and kill these hikers, ranging from military, aliens, KGB, natural disasters, murder, infrasound, to so many more. However, over sixty-five years later we still have questions with a closed case and a lot of doubters.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup, your after-dark podcast. In this week's episode, join Thena and Kylee to discuss the sad story of the Watts family. Chris murdered his pregnant wife, Shan’ann, and their two children, Bella and Cece. Chris hoped that people would think his wife took the children and ran away, but luckily there was some damning evidence that quickly surfaced to put this monster behind bars. If that wasn't enough, Chris had a few other secrets he was hiding, that he hoped would never see the light of day.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup, your after-dark podcast. In this week's episode, join Thena and Kylee to discuss one of Australia’s most notorious crimes, still unsolved to the date. Mr. Cruel was a particularly scary man who was breaking into homes in the 80’s and 90’s to abduct, rape, assault, harm, young girls. This case is a little graphic and hard to handle with it having mentions of children, but it is a case that NEEDS talked about and solved. The families need closure.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup, your after-dark podcast. In this week's episode, join Thena and Kylee to talk about Nicholas Barclay, the 13-year-old child who went missing from San Antonia, Texas. The family was mourning the loss when miraculously three years later, someone turned up. Supposedly Nicholas was found in Spain! Only problem, it was not Nicholas and instead was “the chameleon”, an imposter from France. Frédéric Bourdin was the person pretending to be the lost teen, and this is that story.

Welcome to Cryptic Soup, your after-dark podcast. In this week's episode, join Thena and Kylee as they discuss Daniel Perez, the mysterious murder of Patricia Hughes, money appearing out of thin air, and how this might be just what you think it is… a cult. Daniel Perez was the leader who began and ran the Angel’s Landing Cult in Kansas that had some severely questionable themes behind it, sometimes it is better left not knowing I think.
