A Study in Romans Episode Three: What actually saves me?
In an effort to describe the complex nature of salvation the following metaphor has been used. Salvation is like a cure to a disease and our sin is the disease that needs curing. At the risk of oversimplifying things, the first two chapters have been describing the disease of humanity. Our wickedness and immoral behavior is something that God needs to process with us and help us deal with. In today's episode we will discuss the cure. How do we humans actually come into right relationship with God?
You would think that this question might be easy to answer, but it's not. In fact humans hate the answer. Christianity is the only religion out of every other religion on earth that holds to this simple truth: God has done all the work and all we have to do is trust him. So, dive in with us as we discuss what actually saves people, works or faith.
