Never before has the world seen this kind of evil perversion carried out by a single human being (with the help of many blind eyes turned.) Nassar is a monster, an evil person, and we hope he rots for what he’s done. There isn’t much more to say about him. He belongs where he winds up. What we do need to talk about, however, is what happens to “justice” when we revert archaic to ideas like “eye for an eye” and use sexual assault as a threat in the court of law. This is an extremely difficult discussion, but we need to talk about it.
