What is our hope in a world of oppression? Why should we have joy and thankfulness in life when our sin is ever before us? Join us this morning as we celebrate: "His steadfast love endures forever." On this Palm Sunday we step back and examine the Psalm which the original disciples sang in front of Jesus on Palm Sunday. Why this Psalm? What does it say about Jesus? We discove its rich meaning for our lives.

To hear God's word is our greatest task -- to miss it is our greatest threat. An interesting glimpse into the logistics of Jesus' own ministry we see those who were impacted by the Word supported the words. This sets up Luke for Jesus' parable. Three out of four tragically miss the Word preached, spoken or read. As the Word reveals truth, we must be careful to listen well -- lest we find ourselves empty. Those who do hear the Word of God become closer to Jesus than their flesh and blood family -- they become His own family.

Many people spend their whole lives trying to be something and looking down on those who are't. So many people will waste all of their efforts as they're building their lives without a foundation. This morning, we study Jesus' sermon in Luke 6. Jesus warns against a critical spirit, judgementalism and a fruitless life. In all, Jesus is warning his hearers then and now - Don't waste your life. Build your life on him.

As Jesus turns upside-down the values of this world – he flips the concept of love. We love those who are like us, who contribute to our lives, who make this world pleasant. But what about our enemies? Should we love our enemies? Join us as we continue to study Jesus’ “Sermon on the Plain” from the book of Luke. We learn – not only that we should love our enemies – but that we have a unique ability to do so.
