Are you ready for Jesus to return?

That sounds like an odd question in the 21st century. It sounds old-school religious. But it's as real of a possibility today as any time in history. Jesus will come again and we're called to be ready.

Join us today as we explore Luke 12 and hear Jesus' own instructions on the importance of being ready. As we hear him, we discover in him our only hope.

We are vulnerable creatures in a chaotic world. Based on what we see and experience around us, this statement is one hundred percent true.

Join us this morning as we are invited to live a worry-free life as we trust in Christ. We are often so concerned with what we have and don't have. We tend to put our trust in financial security. As a result, we also get greedy and hoard. Trusting these things leave us with fear and loss. Jesus invites us to something else.

As life is filled with many worries, we need a God bigger than our problems. The world is indeed filled with anxiety, but Christ has called us: do not worry. Instead of a life of worry, God has called us to follow him and trust him. Join us this morning as we explore Jesus' teaching on trusting God. We have been in a preaching series through the book of Luke. This morning, we arrive at Jesus' own teaching on prayer. The disciples ask him, "Lord, teach us to pray." Someone once said, "Prayer is the natural habitat of the believer." Some question: if God is sovereign, why pray? We might respond: why do fish swim in water? It's where they live. It's what they do. Christians pray.

The worries and anxieties of life can easily crowd out our time with Jesus. Salvation by grace through faith means that God is not impressed with our over-worked, stressed out, on-the-go grind. He wants us to chill. He wants us to chill in his presence and wait on him. God wants us to be recipients of Christ through his Word. We experience the presence of Christ through our personal reading and prayer life; through family and small group worshipl through gathering with the church. But how often are the times crowded out because of our busyness? Join us as we enjoy grace!
