Joshua 3-5; Do you believe in a big god? Do you believe that Christ is your warrior commander who fights for you and promises to keep you? As we continue our study in Joshua we discover that Joshua is not actually the commander of the Lord's army but the better commander appears and this commander parts water.

Joshua 2; This teaching continues the epic drama of Joshua. As The Isrelites prepare to enter the land of Canaan, spies are sent. The spies hide in the unlikely house of a prostitute and we discover that God is a God of grace. The prostitute's house is transformed from a place reflecting the world to a house of security for God's people and a place of salvation for sinners. God doesn't use this prostitute "in spite of" her sinful career, but rather he has providentially placed her in that house at that moment to propel His own purposes in the world.

Joshua 1; This sermon begins a new series in the book of Joshua. God gives Joshua the "greenlight" to enter into and conquer the land of Canaan. This teaching touches on the the difficult themes such as "the fear of God" and "the destruction of the Canaanites" and sets up the series with a focus on the point of Joshua: that this book is not about a human leader and human accomplishments. This book is about a supernatural leader who fights for His people.

1 John 5; This final sermon from the series, "(Re)Born: The Message of 1 John," sums up John’s entire message: The Christian life is not merely a set of beliefs, or ideas, or actions, but it is “life” in and of itself. It is life in Christ. New life. Regenerated life. This teaching explores three “proofs” of this rebirth and a call to look to Christ and be reborn.

Matthew 6:22-23; Garden member, Paul Rottmann, teaches from Matthew 6 on the way that the Gospel provides us with a pure vision and a pure faith. Though we may try to follow Jesus and listen to Him, that often isn't easy. It can be difficult for us to discern truth from lies and darkness from light. If we don't rely on the Gospel and the power of the Sprit to guide us.

1 John 4; As we enter into Christmas, the theme on our hearts and minds is love. What we discover in the story of Christmas is that God sent his Son to demonstrate love toward us, so that we may finally be freed to know God’s love, freed to love God, and freed to love each other with real love.

1 John 3; What does it mean that God gave his son? What does that mean in a world where tragedy seems to be, too often, the norm? What we see in the Christmas story is not simply some trite message of abstract hope but we see the plan of God to destroy all evil unfolding before our eyes. We serve a God who is in complete control and is completely good and has shown us the true meaning of love - through self-giving sacrifice.

1 John 2:3-29; How do you know you know God? Is it possible to know that you know God? This teaching dives into 1 John 2 and discovers the answer to this very important question.
